    Exclamation Ravi Piaggio Air pipe problem

    Hey,

    I bought this Ravi piaggio [2013] about 2 months ago, It cost me around 65k. The previous owner I don't think really kept the bike with care. When I brought it home, it ran okay for 2-3 days until the fuel started leaking from the fuel on and off thingy, it took me a little while to solve it but it was just the tank not clean and the filter was broken. After cleaning the whole tank and oil change and tuning the ride was awesome.

    Its been almost one and half month now, and I just got across another issue.
    As I've highlighted with red marker, my bike air pipe been getting flaming hot and bursting out.
    the original one burst out so I tried to get a new one, due to its spare part issue I didn't find one. So, I tried the pipe of Honda CG125 and it didn't work out so well and burst out the second day. A mechanic told me to get a pipe from a car workshop (pipe which they use in cars) and so I did. it worked well for some days but again it kept getting hotter and hotter and finally burst out after a few days. I've been using car pipes now but my problem isn't solved. I always need to keep a spare pipe if the working one gives up.
    I've visited RP mechanic's and Honda mechanic but they just say its normal.
    And Yea, the pipes works well if I shift normally and don't go 70KM+ but as soon as I touch 90.. Boom.
    Please Somebody Help me on this.

    Beside the pipe issue the bike is just awesome, it has just an amazing ride. plus you get alot of looks

    Dear get a old pipe of a car engine,s as it will be available from a kabaria who deals in old engine parts that pipe will be never melted

    kitni sharm ki baat hai ... afsoos hota hai in mechnics per...

    thats not the real problem...

    Its like a person is infected by malaria and you keep on giving it a disprin...

    You Bike Exhuast and EuroII piping needs imediate inspection or you might get an engine seize soon due to clogging which is bursting the pipe and heating the hose, beucase exhust gases instead of going into silencer are coming into EuroII device.. which is ridiculous there is 100% any blockage in Exhaust or Silencer.

    koi bhi pipe liga lo sar jaye ga melt ho jaye ga.... I can spot oil under EUROII device as well which indicates that hot gases have melted the inside of device as well too... its too late for saving the device already...

    Vicky Tulla, So if something can be done? what could it be?
    Can't I just clean the exhaust or something?
    I'll prolly take it to Mcleod road (Bike Market) and get it checked from a good mechanic..?

    I am not sure if any mechanic is trained enough try discussing it with Some Honda Deluxe Trained mechanic tell him that Hot Exhaust Gas has started to come into EuroII nozzle which is supposed to be creating vacuum, now instead it is throwing hot Smoke into EuroII device.. he might know some thing..
    @angel82 can asif from johar town handle this ?

    I can do that, have heard a lot about Honda UCP mechanics. Lets hope the mechanic understands it.

    its not a big serious problem but it really is an urgent attention problem becuase if you keep on using it like this might lead to some thing 'serious' finally...

    it might be a clogged Cylencer or Exhaust Chamber which requires proper cleaning nothing more then that.

    well I went to this Honda Mechanic. at first they totally refused to even touch this bike as they stated "Is ka kam kiya to humari dukan band ho jye gyi" .. after a 15 minute talk with the owner/manager, they finally accepted.

    the guy that was specialist on Honda Deluxe took a look. He removed the sides, the seat as well and took the whole pipe from underneath the seat out. They cleaned the whole thing, cleaned the pipe and took out a filter. he tried to clean the filter but it didn't workout so well.
    so he came up with a new filter and changed it. he replaced the broken pipe with a new one..
    He took a test ride, took the bike to its limits.
    I think my problem might be solved. I haven't really tested it myself to the limit because it started raining.

    good to know... that a clogged jammed filter can cause this problem..
