    Default Toyota Crown 2jzge issues

    AOA.
My friend is facing a lot of issues with his Toyota crown 1994 2jzge(distributor) swapped. Originally it was 2400cc model.

    - First problem is the Fuel consumption. His car is giving him almost 3-4km/l max. What can be the issue? How much a well maintained 2jzge crown can do in a liter?

2nd issue is his car is not properly idling and turning off on cold start up along with missing problem when car is accelerated from stand still position and when accelerator is pressed on idle position. In short, Car behaves fine once accelerated.
Also car's pick and top speed is not up to the mark.

Another flaw in car which I have discovered upon inspection is that Fans are direct and thermostat valve is removed. Temperature needle stays on C most of the time. Can this be the root cause of this whole problem?
Car is driven nearly 2 lac km's but engine was swapped nearly a year back and hardly 20k driven. @Xulfiqar. Sir waiting for your response.

Would like to add more. Car's gear shifting is also jerky. It gives a hard jerk on high revs while shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. Shifting in 3rd-4th gear is smooth.

Not a master in this, just a beginner. My little tip that get the T-Stat valve installed and make the Fan(s) on standard automatic position. The engine would not be going to its optimum temperature and thus this would be the root problem. Otherwise PW Gurus will help you. Mentioning: @Xulfiqar, @capsat @levin. Sir please help @Sk_KingpiN.

the all problem start's when the engine is swappd by those pathan's nonsence pathetic kabarias. the problem is with the Wiring harness as it is not properly hooked up the ecu is just connected with the ignition switch signal due to which . IASC(Idle control valve) is not working and plus many more ecu connection related problem's are still there to be resolved first plus it need's a mechanical tune up with Proper Rewiring. That is the soloution for the engine side . on the other hand in these kind of swap's the new engine is always mounted with the old diesel transmission of the 2L-THE by changing the Bel Housing assy only so that is why it is giving jerk's on the initial shift's and this is the only reson for the non smooth drive in 1&2nd shift..for more info PM me.

    Update :
All the acceleration related issues are sorted out. Plugs were the culprit. Installed thermostat valve and fans are now automatic.
Car is running smooth as silk now. No shifting issues now and fuel economy seems to be improved.

Thank you everyone for your valuable suggestions.
