Default Toyota EE-90 Liftback (London Model) or Corona 1991

    Hi All
I am looking for a mid-range Toyota for my family for city + occasional highway traveling.
I have two options to go for, one is an Autmatic EE-90 (London model) liftback 1989 Reg 1991 with 2E engine @ App 3.75 lacs.
The other option is an automatic Corona 1991 Reg 1991 with 5AFE engine @ app 4.65 lacs
Please advise me which one is the better option.
( I also own a Toyota Corolla 2003 SE Saloon and need this is a frequent ride)

    Regards

Default Toyota EE-90 Liftback (London Model) or Corona 1991

Both are in almost 26 years old first consideration should be which one is in good nick,Although both will give you a tuff time for spares besides this Corona seems to be a good option being a bigger body full size luxury sedan of its era.

Why are you after buying cars which could be a pain to maintain if any parts are required? My bro in law have a 86 corolla in family and they usually face tough time in finding parts in Karachi...recently its carb had some issue and they had to search whole karachi for another one which was found for a hefty 35k!

i would suggest you look for a newish car if your looking for your family
if you believe the Corona is in good shape and isnt molested then you can try your luck with it
P.S i have a 1995 Corona and parts for Corona arent easily available here

Thanx all for your valuable suggestions and at the same time discouraging me for going for these old cars. Yes I do agree that spares support and maintenance could/would be an issue but being a die hard Toyota fan (owned a 74 Corolla for a long time) I would still seek an opinion which car out of EE-90 and Corona 91 would give me lesser problems and would be easier to maintain. Thanx

My vote for Corona. its parts availability is almost no issue.

(my mind was to buy Corona as well. But i opted Crown and its hell of a monster within city & on highways. Just like driving plane on road)

@saboor73. That's very encouraging. At least starting to hear some positive things about the Corona finally.

    Dear Friends,
I have Toyota Corona 1986- want to change its dash board n seats with some nice n better ones of any upper model or any other model.
e.g Crown, Accord of newer models,
    Is it possible?
If yes then which is better option.
    Thanks

    Default Corona a nice sedan

I would suggest Corona owners to guide the readers about maintenance and parts availability issues. Corona is no doubt high end car if compared to EE-90. Corona's comfort and drive pleasure is much better. I owned EE-90 long time ago and drove Corona as well. Maintenance of EE-90 was no issue at that time but now its maintenance cost has gone up due to scarce parts availability due to its age factor. I have no experience of Corona's maintenance though.

I hv replaced my corona engine with 1.6gli, so no maintenance issue,
All suspension are of corolla 86 or 96, so its parts also no problem.
So maintenance is easy n cheaper. Drive is wao,
Now wana change dash board n seats with some higher models of corona or crown,
What will be suitable, no idea.....
