    Sad for your loss.
Well there is no way to protect mirrors but only methods can be used to delay the stealing time so they leave it.
Another way I've heard now is to use metal clutch wires along with metal side mirrors. This will make it almost impossible to remove as the metal wires cannot be broken easily and almost impossible to break with metal brackets..

Well any guy working on side mirrors can do it. Haven't gotten it done by myself but heard about this method by the guy who fitted mirrors on my vitz and by some other people. Ask the guy from whom u got the metal brackets.
This idea does seem very impressive as even if the thief unscrews the mirrors. Breaking the metal wires will be a mission impossible for him especially with metal brackets.

Minor ? I was worried, and in a thought to do something, spacers etc. If it`s really minor then i will wait and will observe more.

experimented my passo 2010 with regular petrol for 02 full tanks... very disappointed with the mileage and the performance.
max it gave me 16 km/l and went only 550 KM in 01 tank
today got back to HiOctane and the car seems happy on it already started to give better mileage

RESULT: Passo works well on HiOctane.. no more regular petrol
