Adjusting spark plugs

As specified in the subject, i have gone through threads specifying that the gap of the spark plugs have to be adjusted for optimum performance of the engine. To be honest, i have never seen any mechanic adjusting the gap while changing plugs.
Recently, i changed spark plugs of my Nissan March, OEM, NGK irridium and the mechanic simply put them in place of the old ones. Question is whether i should get the gap adjusted?
If yes, how much for my vehicle?

check for the owner's manual for your engine.. My car is 660CC and the engine manual says that the gap of plug should be in between
0.8mm - 0.9mm

most of the plugs come pre gapped,the oem ngks of nissan march come pre gapped to 1.1mm,if u still need to adjust the gap u can get the gap adjusting device.which variant of nissan march do u have btw?n which plugs did u get for it?n do look in the hood for the engine sticker,that should tell u the plug gap
according to what i know gap should be 1.1-1.2mm
