if you know where Burney autos is, After crossing the shop, You take a left to goto Golimaar side, There are atleast 12-20 shops including Burney autos who are only repairing these JDM cars.

A guy made a thread spottings at Karachi Port, Just see how badly hit cars are coming and being sold here.

I did my home work for importing cars, And this website "sbtJapan" the gave me info on a Vitz which was driven 200k+ meter reversed to 140k. And was costing me 775ish. I had a showroom dealer who was ready to pay me 900k for that car as is basis.

Another car was a Probox whose rear door was major hit and replaced.

But in the end i decided not to get into a business which is full of frauds and false statements.

Prius is a dead car. A modern turbo diesel is fun as well as economical.

The place I spotted this prius - Off Tariq road in total 132 damaged JDM cars from Toyota avalon, vitz, passo, mira, esse, Mitsubishi Lazer, Mazda RX-8 etc cars are under repair with panel beaters. Christian Colony off society office location of burney autos have total of 21 cars. Jamshed road area towards Jail road both sides are occupied by damaged JDMs under repair.

Bhai. One thing u should accept that no dealer is importing car having grade above 3.5. This is what i have been told by dealers themselves.

absolutely right.....if you want a 4 or 4.5 grade car then you have to self import
just a handfull of dealers are importing 4.5 or 4 grade car that too in a very odd situation and only some of them are giving auction sheet with the cars

@raza1 no car leaves port without payment of duty & taxes. cars with destination address of upcountry are shipped in under special arrangement to dry ports. cars cannot be repaired inside the port / bonded area. maximum allowed work inside the yard is change of battery & flat tyres that too after payment of duty to take car away.

When I drive the car in D mode, the letter B comes automatically with it!!!! does that mean I am driving it in B mode? i think there is no option for put the car in an absolute B mode, isn't it?

B mode is engine braking mode. When car is travelling on slope, ( up to down eg: hill area) then put car in B mode, as keeping foot on brake padel will burn the brake pads. It is like lower gear in normal cars.

the obvious thing that comes to mind considering its a hybrid is BATTERY, meaning that if you put it in "B", it will run on battery only.

can some body tell me what are the differences and PROS and CONS of prius (nhw20) JAPAN version and UK version?
a guy told me that UK version is made for cold weather so its radiator is smaller than japan version. is it true? what other differences are there between UK and Japan Prius (2007-2009).

the obvious thing that comes to mind considering its a hybrid is BATTERY, meaning that if you put it in "B", it will run on battery only.

He is right B is braking mode; the battery assumption is rather a tukka, and I am telling as I drive one, battery has got nothing to do with it; prius has alot of mis conceptions amongst our people like it runs on battery till 60kms etc etc.

The 2007 / 2008 model runs on battery at the speed on 40km/ hr, but lastest models run at 100km/hr on battery, furthermore, battery life is 300k kms!

I have heard this, can someone confirm.

No Bro its not like that... Hybrid cars run on battery and on Engine with seemless switch over to a certain speed. 60Km/h for Civic Hybrid and 80Km/hr for prius (what I have heard and may be wrong) after which normal gasoline engine takes over. Also if you are cruising at lets say 60km/hr then car runs on electric but to maintain speed and battery charge level gasoline engine kicks in time to time. Also when you push throttle hard Gasoline Engine takes over even in initial pick. Don't know about old shape prius but new prius comes with 3 driving modes.full Electric (in which car can run on electric motor to max of 1.5 miles), Hybrid and Performance gasoline engine only.

I am not expert or a prius owner so I might be wrong in some information. I have done some study as I was interested in buying prius but people confuse me about the battery health and electric motor problems (if it occur) as no or not many mechanic are available in market. Also a battery pack cost around 250K if need replacement, I decided to go with normal pakistan manufacture civic (non-hybrid).

Prius JDM language change is not possible. Language can be changed only for cars coming from UK or any country BUT Japan
