Hey friends, I would like to share my trip to Nepal that covered:
I will be updating the thread all along!
Enjoy:)
Bangkok to Kathmandu.
Kathmandu airport is technically difficult airport for landing. Only experienced pilots are entrusted to fly in by the airlines.
Very early in the morning next day, I was back to Kathmandu airport for Everest flight. I was lucky that weather was clear after like 15 days...though still a bit hazy and our flight departed.
Guda Guda... keep coming... keep coming
First picture is Sagarmata "Everest"; about to hide behind clouds. Ridge in front is Lhotse face (8,000m plus). Have to zoom a bit(H)
After 45 minutes flight we head back to Kathmandu airport
Stay tuned.... for this wonderful journey.
After Everest flight, I will hire a taxi for a day and my next stop would be Pashupathinath temple.... most sacred cremation site in Nepal where Nepal royal family was cremated.
WoW, nice journey!
very nice tour waiting for more pics...
Good going. Waiting for more pictures. What are the complications in landing on kathmandu airport?
Great thread! Keep'em coming.
Bagmati river flowing between Pashupathinath temple is the considered most sacred as it ultimately flows into river ganges "ganga" in India. Non Hindus are not allowed to enter; they have to watch from the other side of river. Cremation is carried out either early in the morning or a couple pf hours before sunset. I will post pictures of complete creamtion process in due course. I had visited this temple second time to view the process.
wonderful trip bro
Part of temple on the other side of river
anxiously waiting to see more pics! great trip
Thanks Asad
Bodinath, world's largest buddhist stupa is also located in Kathmandu.
KTM approach is a lil tricky due to the terrain around it and the resulting high gradient descent. PIA and Thai airways crashes were noticable incidences.
