Hello Everyone!
Ive been longing for this trip for over a year but my vehicle was not in a suitable condition to take up on this adventure. But now its ready and im ready. Ive been searching this forum to gather as much information as I can for this trip. And I must say this forum is a real gem for travelers and adventurers.
I will be leaving on third day (29[SUP]th[/SUP] October, 2012) of Eid with my family (wife and three kids) from Islamabad and will stay at PTDC Bahawalpur for night and then we will start our journey next day towards Karachi. We will stay in Karachi for three days and then we will start our journey back to Islamabad on 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] November, 2012.
I will be the only driver for this trip and I will be driving Nissan Sunny 97 (CD20). It?s a diesel engine which I have replaced around ten months ago and have been testing it on long routes in North, I believe its good to go. I have also replaced shocks, suspension, brakes, tyres and battery few months back. It gives me around 10 km/l in the city with AC and I believe it will give at least 12 km/l on long route.
I have planned the trip as per the information I have gathered from this forum and it is as follows:
