On 18th August 2013, We were again hungry for an adventure so we took the trip towards the beautiful Kashmir valley. But we wanted to go to the places which are far less visited and only local people know of their existence.
So we gathered up some local knowledge and tried the adventure for ourselves. I found out that instead of the beautiful sites of the Kahsmir with lush green landscape, there are special places which are not easily reachable but yet they offer amazing experience to adventure enthusiasts.
One of those places was the Water falls which are located near the Kotli city. We started our journey early in the morning and praying that the weather would be kind to us throughout the journey. Although we faced some showers along the route but all in all the weather was suplended and it gave the maximum opportunity to enjoy the journey there.
As soon as we passed the city of Kahuta, the scenery became like something out of the dreams of heavens. The mountains were lush green, the rivers were flowing like they were unstoppable and above all, the weather was so good that it was like the sky cleared up just long enough so that we can make our adventure more memorable.
When we reached the by-pass of Kotli-Mirpur road, there was a bridge with amazing views to offer, there was a stream coming from mountains and merging in the river Jhelum there, so we stopped and had some rest there.
Although there were many waterfalls formed along the route due the rainy season but the one which we were looking for is the one which flows throughout the year, so we followed the stream that we found and atlast we had the water fall which were looking for.
We decides to get close to the water fall so we tried some routes to reach there but unlucky for us, we couldn?t find a route which was good enough to reach the epicenter of the falls.
In the end as we were going back, we did managed to find a route which leads to the falls but due to time shortage we decided to leave it and head for the next destination.
We took different route for going back this time, the road was amazing and there were enormous bridges on the way.
We finally reached our next destination which was the Mangle lake, the moment of the sunset on the mangle lake was one of the amazing moments ever. And on top of that the water levels of the lake were so high that we can see sunken mountains in the lake. It was like never ending sea of fresh water.
We did wanted to visit another secret place on the mangle lake but due to the shortage of time, we couldn?t do that but we did have fun fishing in the lake for the catch of the lifetime
Another end of an adventures trip but this time it was not completed, there was something missing which we will get next time in that area. But all in all great sight seeing. Love the beautiful places of PAKISTAN
