Thank you. I took the Lehtrar road from Khanna Pul, the road goes straight (despite a few hundred bends to Kotli Sattiyan and beyond. The distance was approximately 50KM. As I was on motor bike and stopped at many places to take photos, it took almost 2 hours maximum I think. Road was carpeted pretty good, single road where two buses can go parallel. I have found you enjoy more on bike than car on such roads because you feel the cool breeze directly and the trees feel closer.
Well, the attractions include the natural beauty of forests and mountains The area is not developed like Murree or Nathia Gali. It's more like a mountain village settlement; houses were scattered all along the road from Islamabad till Kotli Sattiyan, we took tea at Lehtrar and there is a small bazaar at Kotli Sattiyan where you can get the general merchandise. A striking thing was that the whole area was quite clean, I couldn't find any junk anywhere, so clean.
I thought it was a good thing that few tourists went there because looking at the junk they have scattered at Murree, the less people go there the better. Murree, Nathia Gali, Shogran, Naran have become such big dump yards due to our people's habit of pouring filth all over the place.
We were on motor bike wearing T-shirts and it felt so cold that finally we had to wear those sweater that we took along, but still our teeth were chattering like crazy and reaching back were were chilled to the bones
I don't think there is a connection to the Simly Dam, at least I didn't see any side roads to that.
