Of course it is, I saw people with kids of ages 6, 9, 10 and they were more active than adults . Plus there were many girls and ladies too. I suggest you go on Trail 3 initially (whose picture are attached) because it's used by many people and there are no issues there. Plus you will meet 'tameez-daar' people there, at least I haven't seen any loafers.
If you are with kids or ladies, you should avoid the fireline (the straight steep path where I went), instead you should use the normal trail/track, you will see it when you go there, it's easier to walk on just like a normal road (mostly). If you want to climb and come down by the trail as well, you should spare a whole day for the hike, go in the morning, have some water with you, you can also get snacks and drinks at the shop at the parking of Trail 3.
