• Mansehra: A starting point of Naran Kaghan tour; 148 km from Islamabad.
• Balakot: A gateway to Kaghan valley; 48 km from Mansehra. Balakot itself is 72 km from Abbottabad at an altitude of 3000 feet from sea level.
• Kewai: 24 km from Balakot. A stop over for Shogran & central point between Mansehra and Naran.
• Shogran: 7 km from Kewai with an altitude of 7,749 feet (2,362 meters).
• Sari Paya and Dona Meadows: A wonderful excursion from Shogran is to visit Sari & Paya at an altitude of 11,200 feet (3,414 m) above sea level & Makra Top. For Dona Meadows you would have to cross a huge glacier and two lovely waterfalls.
• Sharan: There is a track from Shogran to Sharan for two hours hike. The view is simply awesome and there is beautiful forest rest house in Sharan where you may stay.
• Kaghan: Kaghan is a small town and union council of the Balakot Tehsil, in Mansehra District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan at a distance of 40 km from Kewai and at an elevation of2,134 feet (650 m). The valley is named after it.
• Naran: It is the largest town in Kaghan valley, and is the base station to scenic destinations like Lake Saif-ul-Malook, Lalazar and Babusar top. It is located at an elevation of 8,202 feet (2,500 m); 24 km from Kaghan.
• River Kunhar: The River originates from Lulusar Lake.Waters of Dudipat and Saiful Muluk Lakes feed the river besides glacial waters from Malka Parbat and other high peaks in the valley. The Kunhar River flows through the entire Kaghan valley and joins with Jhelum River just outside Muzaffarabad, in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir province, Pakistan.
• Saiful Maluk Lake: It is named after prince Saif-ul-Maluk who fell in love here with a fairy from the mountains. It is 9 km away from Naran at a height of 10,500 feet.
• Ansoo jheel: It is located near Malika Parbat in the Himalayan range at the altitude of 4,245 meters (13,927 ft).This lake can be reached by short but steeper trek from Saiful Mulook Lake. It takes more than 7 hours for a round trip to Ansoo lake starting from Lake Saiful Mulook. Horses and guides can also be hired from the Lake Saiful Mulook.
• Lalazar and Batakundi: Lalazar is 21 km away from Naran via Batakundi. Battakundi is at a distance of 16 km from Naran and provides access to Lalazar Plateau. Lalazar is extremely picturesque landscape at an elevation of 3200m (10400 feet).lalazar is now no longer where crops have been made.
• Lulusar Lake: It is 48 kilometers away from Naran at an altitude of 11,000 feet (3352.8 m) on Naran-Babusar road. It is the main source of river Kunhar. From this lake, river Kunhar flows down the valley first as blue stream and then as a roaring torrent until it joins the river Jhelum. It has very enchanting beauty and its view remains in the mind for a long time.
• Jhalkhad: It is a beautiful valley about 3 and a half hour drive from Naran ; from Jalkhad you have two routes one goes to Noori Top and the other takes you to Lulusar Lake, Babusar Top and Doodipatsar Lake.
• Pyala Lake: It is an undeveloped Lake, but it has a lot of significance as it a Bowl shaped lake on the top of the mountain in the district of Jalkhad on the way to Lulusar Lake from Naran.
• Dudipatsar Lake: The easiest way to reach this lake is from Behsal. There is 2 hours journey from Naran to Behsal on jeep. From Behsal, it is approx. 7-8 hours trek. From here you can hire a guide as well as horses. Dudipatsar means "White Lake", because most of the year it is covered with ice.
• Noori Top: Noori top is a passage that takes one from Kaghan Valley into Neelum Valley in Kashmir, passing over 4000 m pass. The road from the east of Jalkhad goes to Noori Top, which is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours of drive.
• Babusar Pass: It is at a distance of 80 km from Naran. From Babusar Top mighty Nanga Parbat (8126 m) can be seen on a clear day. It is located at an altitude of 4146 m (14,000 ft). From here, the whole panorama lies spread out before the visitor. On a clear day the great Nanga Parbat (26,660 ft) can also be seen from here.
