Islamabad to Gulmit - Stopped @ Sost, it took me 19Hours in 2004. That Trip's total duration was 68 hours for a round trip from Khunjrab to Isloo, and the ride was 800cc Mehran, my navigator, passenger and myself kept on complaining for back pains atleast for a Month:-#

November 2010, had a very intresting day (travelled through 3 provinces in a single day) Morning 5am, we were in Thar Desert- Sindh and started journey towards Border for Duck Shoot Area, @ 9am left dhairki for Rahim Yar Khan - Punjab. Left R.Y.K @ 2pm, Reached Lahore 1:30am (driver changed) went on to Burhan to drop fishak & it was 5:30am, reached homes by 8:30 and back to offices @ 9:30.

1,050 Km: Isb - Pakpatan - Isb

Isb => FSD => Sahiwal => Pakpatan (480 km~)

attended wedding and back;

Pakpatan => Okara => Lahore => Isb (550 km~)

Total drive time was 17 Hours as going with barat so bit slow and track from fsd to sahiwal was pathetic single road. Didn't slept for almost 40 Hours, just took short nap of 15 - 20 mins twice :frown:

I drove to lulusir lake from naran ,came back to naran left for lahore ,it was total of 17 hrs drive this was done with 3 breaks of 15 -20 mins ,my car was corolla 2.0d 96....and it was not even tiring due to the comfortableness of the car

Turned GPS on when I was about 100 km out of Karachi on super highway, so GPS trip info showing 1271km

Honestly speaking, I don't know its exact working & knowledge,
I want a device in my car that can locate me, guide to the exact location, I have seen a LC with this type of device on my way to Islamabad, that device displays a map & locates your vehicle, that you are now at this point & the next city will be this with this much distance,
kindly guide me, is it a navigator, GPS or some other device?

I have travelled once more than 800 miles in 28 hours from baltimore Maryland to niagara falls back in 2001 with my friend. Finished work 1am and started journey got lost alot of times on the way stayed in niagra falls for 4 hours and drove back may have slept for an hour in between.booked three times by state trooper for speeding .i was 17 at that time. and nearly got fired from work following day..oh wat a time it was miss it alot...

Bro thrice i have travelled 1350kms in a single go while i was travelling from lahore to karachi and when back. i started at 8 am only stopped for prayer and food and with out rest i arrived at karachi at 11:00 Pm.

Travelled from Milwaukee, Wisconsin (A small city north of Chicago) to Kentucky and then to Orlando, Florida in almost 26 hours back in 2004 I guess. It is almost 1900 KM. We were 3 friends and kept switching drivers. Each driver shift lasted one fuel tank. We drove an Acura Legend which was a wonderful car.
The whole trip was almost 6700Km and lasted a whole week from Milwaukee-Kentucky-Orlando-Houston-Chicago-Milwaukee.
Thats the maximum I (we) have ever driven.

Every navigator, which tells you how to go, is fitted with a GPS and a map software, which is also known as SATNAV.
New modern mobile phones also have built in GPS and comes with google maps and mobilink also providing this service on their blackberries.

The best and the cheapest bet is to buy a satnav and download maps of PK from

PK Maps • Index page free of charge.

Just help these guys in making a map of say WAH CANTT.
