Few day back Hanif Bhai called n invited me to go to Hingol with him n some Astronomers for stargazing. According to them it was the black zone of light pollution.
Although i had no interest in stargazing yet i agreed to accompany them for the sake of chit chat. To me it makes no difference if the Saturn n the Mars interchange their places.
Anyhow we started our journey after 2PM in the afternoon. Traveled on Makran Coastal Highway n reached Hingol in the evening. Spent the whole night in Hingol near Nani Mandar (Temple).
I experienced that it was the night which had no end............
Hanif Bhai n the team of Astronomers remained busy whole night in stargazing while Jag n I were busy in chatting with each other expecting the morning to come as early as possible.
By the grace of God it started to dawn n I took a sigh of relief, packed our bags n started traveling. On our way back spotted some Ibex then went to Kund Malir to see its beautiful beach, then went to Buzzi Pass to see its winding road n the famous Princess of Hope.
Although it was very difficult to spend the night in pitch darkness, hot weather without any wind blowing n apprehension of insects but overall i enjoyed the trip only because of the companions.
It was my 1st meeting with Cheers (Zain) n i found him a very good , humble n a religious person having very good knowledge of Astronomy.

The Makran Coastal Highway is located primarily in Balochistan, Pakistan. It follows the Arabian Sea coast from Karachi to Gawadar. It is also referred to as National Highway 10 or N10.
Hingol National Park (Urdu: ہنگول) is the largest of National Parks of Pakistan. It is on the Makran coast in Balochistan and is approximately 190 km from Karachi. The area was declared reserved in 1988.
The park area covers parts of the three districts: Lasbela, Gawadar and Awaran of Balochistan province. It contains a variety of topographical features and vegetation, varying from arid sub tropical forest in the north to arid montane in the west. Large tracts of the National Park are covered with drift sand and can be classified as coastal semi desert. The National Park includes the estuary of the Hingol river which supports a significant diversity of bird and fish species.
Hinglaj/ Nani Mandar:
The Mandar of Devi Hinglaj, the holiest among the 51 Shakti Peeths of Hinduism is situated in the park. It is located 15km from the main road. There is a dirt track that leads all the way up to the shrine. Thousands of pilgrims visit the site each year to pay homage to the devi. There are water ponds around the shrine that contain some fish species. There have also been some reported sightings of the snow leopard.
