Jeep lining up to cross the bridge.

We all stepped out to reduce weight.

It was fun crossing this suspension bridge on foot as it kind of vibrates with foot steps.

Some tents / camps including a temp food shop near the bridge.

Those who are interested in trying luck to see wild life can go on jeep tracks from here towards snow capped mountains.

On our way to exit of Deosai National Park.

It was a quiet n sleepy journey of about 1 hr till we reached exit point for clearance. The wind was extremely chilly n we were all trembling with cold till we moved down on zigzag Skardu road.

WARNING

You should have plenty of 'Mospel - machar aap se dur ... rehney pe majbur' if u r planning a Deosai trip.

Because ... huge sized mosquitoes bother u all over Deosai and believe me they r also huge in numbers.

And unluckily if u r standing still and one of them bites u then this happens :o

We could not stand still for a second lol and all the above stuff was managed while running around as we didn't know this machar thing :S

The stitched Panoramic view was exceptional. So were all the other pics of Deosai. Are there other places we can go in the Deosai planes or simply follow the track from Chilum Chowki to Bara Pani. What I mean is that are there some off shoots of the main trail?

Not one .... infact there are many trails running around in whole Deosai and i have heard that there are many unknown lakes as well. If you have time you can explore the world there. Its a huge place and many tracks run around.

Excellent coverage. Cyborshot is obviously better than the cell-phone. Cell-phone pics don't do justice to the marvelous sceneries. How long does it take from the Bara Paani bridge to Skardu?

From Bara Pani bridge, it took us 2hr 20 min to get to Sadpara lake.

From there, Skardu city is only 30 min.

After exiting Deosai National Park, we moved down on a narrow stony road which was a tough ride for the jeep.

Before we reached Sadpara Lake, we had to stop for 15 min as blasting was being done for road construction.

You can see our sleepy faces

Except for the patch immediately after exit from Deosai National Park, the remaining Sakrdu road was in good condition.
