Today after Juma prayers my kids & nephews/niece insisted for a trip to snow covered Nathia Gali on our beloved FJ-cruiser.So at 2pm we were on road.My entire family (me/wife & my two boys) & my 2 nephews & niece were along.We used old murree road till kuldana turn than we turn to Nthia gali Snow started from Sunny bank & gets thicker & thicker...near daisy dot hotel between khaira gali & doonga gali) snow as about 8-12 inches.LOts of cars were skidding & were unable to climb...but with an extra help of 4x4 & the might 4200cc 2f petrol engine our cruiser crossed snow like a piece of cake.

@All Thanks for the appreciation.We rescued 3 cars on our way back..one alto vxr skid so badly in front of me & banged into the side barriers near daisy dot.It was dark & 9pm at night (on our way back).I stoped & make sure the family inside the car was safe.But car stucked badly..so I pulled out the toe rope..Pulled the Alto out from snow..It hitted snow side ways so badly that driver door cant be opened.The ladies inside the car were crying due to the fear..as it was very cold & dark..in mid of the snow covered Jungle..So my wife come out of the Jeep & cheer them up..we offered them hot coffee we had in our thermos..after few minutes they come out of the impact & shock so I attempted the rescue..With the power of 6 cylinder engine & extra help of 4wd I pulled the almost side over Alto VXR from snow.The pull was so hard that the toe kunda of Alto got tilted, rope got damaged & my jeeps tyre started burning the rubbers..I though it cant be done..as i can smell the burning rubbers of my tyres..and the jeep was moving only few inches further..my elder son Hassan shouted...Papa full power...and I floored the throttle..still spinning all the 4 wheels...than i used sliped clutch technique..with full throttle pressed i pressed the clutched & than suddenly released it ..wannnnnnnnnnnng....duzzzzzzzzz......and with a jerk the alto was out of snow..and my wife standing next was shouting.....bus bus..stop..stop...Than i examined the Jeep,tyres, toe rope...every thing was ok exept the toe rope got a bit damaged due to such a massive bang pull...the toe kunda of alto got twisted..well the car was almost side over tilted in snow..the family acompany us till kuldana turn..than we turned to isb & they towards murree......Unfortunately i dont have any pictures of the above stated sceen but it gives me a huge satisfaction that the family inside the car was safely rescued by my family.

this was my 2nd trip to dhrabi dam & river dhurab...there is a beautiful rest house on bank of the dam..A/c,Tv,cook every facility is available on very nominal chgs...tthe rest house can be booked from dams & irrigation dept chakwal,,
