6 Days Trip to Naran.Please Help

Hello ,I am planning to visit Naran . Can any one tell me how to plan our trip from Lahore. We will reach Lahore on 23 JuneInshaAllah. and have to be in Islamabad on 1st of July.

How to reach from Lahore, Via public transport? or Any APV service there for 7 people?
I want to know where to stay , I am with family. SO neat and clean guest houses or hotel.
What to do in Naran and kaghan valley?
Transportation , charges and From where we can get?

Is there any option that we book Pajero from Abbotabad/ Manshera? so we will see and stop at different places?

Please guide me .

u can hire an APV or Hi roof hiace from Lahore and take it along till Naran...in naran there r plenty of good hotels ...best is ROYAL hotel naran...u can visit lake saif al malook(biggest attraction),lalazar,lulusir lake,jalkhad...on ur return or going to naran u can go to shogran also...from shogran u can visit sari paya....and manna mandosa....from paras u can go to sharan also...

I think instead of hiring vehicle from lahore better go to rawalpindi on Daewoo and then from flashman hotel rawalpindi there is a bus service of PTDC for naran.

good advice from @lateralus and @cyrus54...you are planning to visit in th peak season. Everything will be expensive, hotel, jeep rental etc etc. However, there are many accomodation options available from tents to nice clean 3 star hotel rooms in Naran. What you spend will depend on your budget and how good you are at negotiating.

from lahore/islamabad u can go to balakot and have a stay or u can hire a jeep from balakot for a couple of days, when u arrive at naran u have many good hotels, like royal hotel,naran mountain chalets, from naran u can visit lake saiful mulook, aansu lake, u can enjoy the horse ride their, plus if u want to go to lalazar and siri paya that would add more enjoyment to your trip.
i guess the jeep fare is 4000/- for whole day!

Hi Friends I am also planning a similar trip from Karachi - Shogran.

I will be taking the Business Express railway Service from Karachi at 3:30PM and reach Lahore the next day at 10:00AM.

I need advice on the journey from Lahore to Shogran. What modes of transport to use, How much will it cost & more importantly how long will it take to reach from Lahore to Shogran?

from Lahore to Shogran is a minimum of 10 hrs ride and as you'll reach Lahore around 10 am, be advised to break your journey at Lahore or Abbottabad for a 12 hrs stay..
Either book SkyWays or Daewoo (on phone) for 11am (Lhr-Abt night at Abt) or 11pm (Lhr-Mansehra) with early morning ride to Shogran (3 hrs)..
If you don't want this break, than book your tickets on Karakoram Express for Faisalabad (8am arrival) and head for Mansehra on Kohistan or Abdullah Travels.. You'll reach Shogran around Maghrib..

Thanks Bro.....very helpful info. But i actually don't want to stay anywhere overnight until I reach Shogran. If we reach Abbotabad at around 6:30PM, will we find private transport to get us to Shogran at 6:30-7PM????

than going through Faisalabad instead of Lahore is your best bet as it saves you a precious 3 hours, enabling you to reach Mansehra around 3pm and onwards to Shogran during daylight..

Faisalabad instead of Lahore isn't an option for us, since Business Express train only goes to Lahore from Karachi.

I guess we are going to have to include a nights stay at either Abbotabad or Rawalpindi.
