This trip of mine was intended to take place months ago but one thing or another came in the way. Finaly, on 2nd July, we managed to make it happen and started our journey in my mehran.
I was accompanied by two of my jigars (Friends)
During our Grand Islamabad Meet, I suggested the same to Hanif bhai and he also appreciated the idea of a trip from Islamabad to Khunjrab of willing pakwheelers. If Hanif bhai is willing, we can make another trip like this. Any takers????
Our mission was to attend shandur festival where we had to perform paragliding in front of President Musharaf. We destined for Hunza first, stayed there for two days. Did some flying, then we reached Gilgit, there we left our Mehran and took other vehicles for Shandur.
In shandur we stayed for three days, did a lot of flying, then back to Gilgit to retrieve Mehran and back to Hunza for one day of flying. From there we came back to Islamabad.
The trip was not heavy on Mehran. All vital sugns were perfect upon check up (Tappets, plugs, pints, alignment balancing). Everything was in order. Total fuel expenditure (CNG + Petrol) was Rs. 2,000/- (One way)
