I think this is the right time to introduce you all to my new 4X4. I got hold of this beauty about three weeks back but did not start the thread as was not sure if I’ll keep it or not. I must thank my friend Irshad Maskeen (Vietnam) who came all the way from Abbottabad for testing it and convincing me and finally yesterday Dr Irfan Khattak (Ranger_ofthe_North ) (Chairman Offroaders unlimited Abbottabad) also tested it thoroughly off road and approved it. Thank you Dr Sb and Irshad bhai.
To give you all a brief background, I believe I am lucky enough to have kept almost all types of 4X4’s available in Pakistan. Like Land cruisers, Suzuki’s (both short wheel base and LWB’s), Pajero’s (3 door as well as 5 door), Villys, Range rover and double cab.
And, as you all must be knowing a PAGAL JANOONI lover of 4X4’s never gets satisfied from a specific brand, I also behaved the same way. Changing vehicles from 3 door to 5 door, from diesels to petrol, from petrol to diesel, from 5 door to 3 door, from smaller engines to bigger engines, leaf spring to coil spring and again coil spring to leaf spring. Hard tops/ soft tops etc etc.
I am not sure whether I will be happy with this new 4X4 but it looks (as usual) very attractive having almost all the qualities which one can think of. And that’s what I was looking in the LITTLE MONSTER too.
Following are the main features
5 door (the upper portion of the doors are detachable)
Removable hood with folding front screen
Compact vehicle (not too long like a 60)
Front coil springs with very good stretch downwards
Rear leaf springs with original SOA
2400cc petrol engine
Power steering
Power booster brake
Power clutch
Company fitted heater
Grill in front of the radiator which can block air if required in snow
I am not sure what exactly I’ll be doing to it (modifying it or keep it stock) but so far even in this condition it is quiet an extra ordinary vehicle.
