hello
i was doin a check of carburetor as fuel efficiency decreased since my last setting months ago. cleaned its external links with brake fluid n brush, sprayed NASA carb spray inside, with proper instructions.
while doing all this, i observed four irregular things.
- after dirt was removed, i saw the link where throttle cable ends, it was deshaped (tilted)... like some1 did it on purpose.
- the butterfly in the carb, is not shut at all, even at zero throttle.... however it opens further when throttle is increased.
a rocker arm, connectd to pump sort of thing, leaked fuel if throttle is jerked.
the hose out of carb base (probably engine) body, has water precipitates, and the hose connected to it is also shut at the other end with a blank, is it rite or some mechanic did it for his desi science
the throttle link and the butterfly are connected as i figured it out ...
but due to the throttle hinge tilted, teh rocker arm does nt force the spring mechanism of butterfly,
and if i do the force manually, then the butterfly opens more, nt closes. so either a stupid mechanic dint set it properly, and could nt set the car bak at default setting ...
plz tel ur point of view ... and how can i do the job at home ..,.
i mean the butterfly should be shut by al means, at idle position?
cuore also doesnt have a choke, so how the butterfly opens itself without the manual throttle by pedal?
the hose under consideration (#4 point) should be shut like this or not?
