I still have a Santro Exec bought almost brand new in 2005 which is now used as an errand car and after 135,000 Kms on the ODO, it is still going strong with just periodical maintenance and periodical parts replacement. Engine was opened for the first time couple of weeks back only to replace chamber seal/packing. Compressor was changed at around 80k kms and still provides chilling relief in Karachi peak summers. All parts are still easily available in Karachi.
Parts and maintenance is quite cheap as per my experience and build quality is miles ahead of Mehran..... even Cultus.
You can get a Santro Exec or Club 2004-5 model with 80k to 120k mileage, in around Rs. 300k to 350k and you need to spend another 20-25k to bring it in top notch condition. I recommend that you raise your budget and go for Exec or Club model.
