Salam to all.
Brothers, I have 2009 Civic 1.8 Manual. Today while I was driving, the steering wheel suddenly became so hard that it was difficult to steer. There is no leakage in the pipes and pumps. Oil level is maximum but steering is hard. Please guys help me. share your views and suggestions.
Thanks

Thanks Bro. I checked the tyre pressure and belt. both were ok. I haven't checked the pump, how to check it?
You can first check the pump yourself. Just tell somebody to turn the steering wheel for you and you should open the bonnet and listen for odd noises, if they do come then there must b a fault with the pump and if not you should let a professional check it
Thanks Buddy =), I will check it and then post my observations.
If there is no problem in the pump, check ball joints and tie rods as well, improperly lubricated and wear and tear on ball joints and tie rods can also cause hard steering!Hope it helps
Thanks bro really appreciate your advice =D. I checked the pump. there wasn't any noise. what i noticed is that once the caris started the steering wheel is hard, when i pump the accelerator the steering gets smooth and soft. I think you are right, there is an engine belt problem. I will again check it and post my observations.
You haven't posted your observation yet???
Bro i have the same issue in my reborn 2007 steering gets smooth while paddling acceleration when i puts off my foot from accelerator it gets hard....kindly tell me the solution of it
Copper washer usually is the culprit... It allows air to move in stream nd steering gets hard
My 2008 civic's steering gets hard and soft on it's own. No leakage from anywhere or any noise from the pump. In fact the whole pump assembly was installed 2 years ago. I want to ask, what was the issue? was it the engine timing belt?
power steering kaam karna chor jata hai means steering me issue hai. check karaven isko utarwa k
Looks like your hydraulic pump has either desi pipe, broken or leak pipe. Leak pipes don't often drip alot of fluid. Air leaks cause this
What was the issue then? Belt or the steering pump?
