Okay Fine ! Going Auto on Gli
Dude going auto on Glis as hard as swapping a head over the previous engine or it might be the toughest part of the engineering. This makes no sense to me that you convert a already small 2NZ-FE engine on to automatic on this heavy big E-120 chasis so i'd not recommend you to go auto.
Let me make it as simple as i can.
Now the problems starts with the ignition interlock that needs to be replaced by that of Altis followed by transmission stuff the brake system, the clotch pedal and hence everything needs to be changed.
It will cost you alot may be much more than that of Alti's engine. The ECU in your car is already directed to control a manual transmission and sesors are pre-set for it but when you'd go automatic you will have to change all the setup. You will be opting for several other off-stock stuff that is not easily available and first thing you may notice is that you have lost all the fuel economy and pick up to 40%.
The differential is some thing which needs to be worked out too. Ummm aur the gear ratios will be badly disturbed due to after market upgradation. Parking pawl tu altis ki lag sakte hai i am searching a bit over internet because this is something i never thought of haan we got one of the 2.od transformed into automatic which wasnt really a success.
tu at the end of the day ap ko pata chalay ga k you have out crossed the price of an Altis. Better slap in a Altis engine of automatic and you'd feel lucky
So now in simple words get your self a 1ZZFE and go automatic from the company's genuine parts nein tu quit this hassel. If asked for knowledge tu haan Gli can be upgraded to automatic transmission.
