Very very quick suggestion needed?

I have been looking for some used car since long but never got any good as per my likings...so I opt to buy brand new Mehran just because it will be brand new and it has highest resale in market.

I'm planning to get VX-CNG version and including Registration and Car it will be cost me 581,000

Now my few friends saying to buy used cultus in 650K. Again it will be used, I know there is no comparison between Mehran and Cultus but don't know how it has been used or abused in past, because there is very very less chance that someone will sale his problem-free car at good rates.

So what do you people suggest? New Mehran or Used Cultus?

Even a 10 year old Cultus if mantained properly is better than new Mehran.
If you are lucky enough to find a neat and clean Cultus then get it.
Its also a Suzuki but much better than Mehran.

@Daniyal: Yeah I totally agree with you bro... but its really hard to find family maintained Cultus. People purchase Cultus, run it at Rent then Shower it, reverse the meter and sale it at lower price.

I'm getting 2007 Model Cultus in EFI engine, the owner is asking 625K... so see here Efi Cultus in 625K there must be something

bro, i will suggest you to go with a new Mehran. At least you will have peace in mind that your vehicle is new and will not cost you anything un-predictable for a few years; if you keep it with care.

I guess New Mehran will be peace of mind, as it will have not previous history and I can sell it any time, its like Investment.

Sure, Meharan is good from investment and resale point of view. A used car always creates doubts and does not give you the smell, look and feel of a brand new car that comes out of the showroom in front of your eyes :). My vote goes with Mehran. Rest its your decision.

I would suggest to go for a new one which ever you can buy. All cars are abused unless they are bought from hard earn income. I see new City, Civic and many other been abused by the drivers just because they are owned by people who earn money from corrupt ways.
Not pointing finger at anyone, but sincerely, if you want peace of mind n trouble free car, go for a brand new one, even it is a Mehran. Your hard earn income deserve to be spend wisely and surly you will enjoy the new ride and by time you progress, you can upgrade to other new car.

if u dont know anything about cars. and u dont know how to treat a broken down car.and its ur first car at home. then i would suggest a brand new car.(Mehran)

in all other conditions avoid the go cart and buy alto cultus, what ever.......everything is better then a mehran

@hash4u: No bro I already have car at home, this will be second car. But yes I don't know how to handle broken-down cars because we have JDM Corolla (100% maintained and scratch-less) and MashaAllah MashaAllah it never ever gave any problem since we bought it. So I don't know how to handle the broken-down cars standing on the road

Why would you spend 581k and torture ur self with a mehran? Better buy a CNG Rickshaw atleast it costs much less. Apart from the extra wheel mehran they both are quite comparable. BTW CNG rickshaw also has an excellent resale.

spend 2k n take ur trusted denter+mechanic to view the car. Or bring the caar to them. Tell em to check the car both body wise n mechanically. If they give u a thumbs up buy it or else leave it. For buying a used car u have to be either good at it or buy from a person whom u know n the car was used in front of ur eyes such as a relative,colleague,friend,neighbour etc more than mechanical the amount of fraudulent activities such as fake papers,stolen cars,duplicate reg problems make 1 consider many times before buying a car from an unknown person. If thats the case then always involve a well reputed car dealer/showroom owner. Pay around 10k commission n take a receipt. Its their bloody responsility to ensure tthat the papers etc are sorted n make it clear to the seller that if there is a problem in the car such as papers or accident history etc then the car would be returned. Good showroom owners own this n ive seen people getting their full money back. never deal directly with an unknown person.

Buying a used car is waste of time and money. you will waste time and money before and after buying a used car. You will find many cars with extraordinary condition but after buying you will notice 100s of things that are not the way you want them to be. you can afford new car you are the luckiest person. go for it

bro, buy a new mehran keep it with care! you will love the drive of a new mehran, people always says mehran is bla bla, but the fact is its most popular car of pakistan and better in every aspect, the new mehran not even die after 15 years if u kept it with care.

or the second option is buy some used imported vehicle like mira etc, they are alsso very good
