Civic Crashed 30-dec-2009

this car crashed on NAzimuddin road, infront of centauras, just took pic when i was coming bak from university

this car crashed into back of the taxi, and there were sharp lines of tyre screeching, which means that taxi stopped into the middle of highway at great speeds, and civic banged into it.

its just shows body quality of 10lakh car which people are even asking more for i would pefer a jap 2nd hand import vitz which is more solid or even a 10yr old bmw 3series which is even more tough! by the way tht road is dangerous the turning for G8 is wht most idiots do its such a wide rd but still ppl have no clue how 2 drive on it!

@crashD, i'd have to disagree, u see now adays manufacturers concentrate more on passenger safety, which is why they make cars out of such materials that get crushed, thus absorbing the energy of the impact n ultimately saving the passengers life! Crumple zones are there for a reason. older cars used to be really rigid n tough, n during collision, all the energy was transfered to the passengers....... N the human body is not capable of coping with 20 or 30 Gs. u getting my point? its for our own good that these cars get crushed n save our lives. every1 knows theres nothing more precious than a human life!

nahh civics asemblled in Pakistan are beyond the thought of crumble zones or pasenger safety yes its abit toughher then the local assembled rolla!!! but if u compare this with a jap import civic u would be abazed at the quality used special tough steel! and door panels! airbags, i agree new cars have better crumble zones nodoubt! tht G8 turning is dangerous and also tht tight squeeze near F8 turning whr they have concreated part of teh exit!

i'll have to agree with HondaFanatic on this one. The "honda civic" is designed to absorb the impact of a crash,.. BUT just because local cars are built using similar parts to REAL civics, it doesn't mean that we get QUALITY parts which perform as they are supposed to.

example:
3 identical chassis, one made from aluminum, one steel and one carbon fibre will all behave dfferently in a crash,... same with the cars here, the materials don't necessarity conform to International standards even though we are told they are supposed to.

dear, u cant blame the taxi which suddenly stopped and causing the accedental situation, its also civics drivers responsibility to keep a safe distance with respect to his driving speed, mostly accidents happens due to drivers negligency,

i wud definitely agree wid hondafanatic and storm bhai here. civics may have light body but it has the G-Con and Ace body structure which in a accident saves the passengers inside rather than concentrating abt the exterior of the car that how bad it looks after the accident i hope u got the point. exterior can be repaired but a human body cannot be dented painted so Honda focuses on the safety of the cabin.

if u really look into pessanger seafty, new and old both tech cant do anytihng but new tech (impact observing) is a little step upward. imagine if u at 120 or above and (may ALLLAH keep us in HIS amaan) hit a tree can new tech save ur life, and if u hit 88 model civic or crolla to a tree at 30kmp u wont have taht much diamge now do this theory otherway round.
other thing is its all depend how fast hard and which angle and who do u hit or beaing hit.

true that bro. ppl here start posting useless comments abt the biult quality and all that there in a accident u have to consider all the factors b4 judging a car's built quality. the angel of collision is the most important thing which is to be considered in such cases. take for instance the above example: the right fender of the car is only damaged badly and the front is almost okay and few bends in the hood and a broken bumper but most importantly the cabin seems to be in exact original form so yeah thats what im interested in and not how the exterior looks.
