I have a suzuki fx that is udergoing restoration at the moment..Now the problem is I want to get it lowered about 2 inches..As it dosesnt not have springs at the rear end,,old school kamani style..i was wondering if that is even possible???Need advice frm experts...
get specially made kamanis that are harder and bit streight. go to some khiradia that make these for trucks he will make one for you.
it will make ur car so hard and jumpy that u wont like it driving on bumpy road...

only if you use truck's leaf springs LOL. experienced kharadia will make good kamanis that lower ride and work.
is it really possible to route rear axle from under the leaf springs??
take out the kamanies and leave 1 kamani
The kamani routes above the axle..What if i just replace the shackle with a shorter one instead of replacing the leaf spring??
It has a single one at the moment..
experts can tell if that's possible..but i dun think that i possible..
@aqibasit explained very well bro. but the only problem is that the supports can bend the axle.
Slightly off topic but can you upload more photos of your FX and update on the restoration project? Like what you are doing and what are the upgrades...
we once tried it on Mehran but it was not so successful, it had driveability issues then.
what i did was i flipped the kamani upside down. this lowered the car but technically the suspension was gone.
you faced stability issue because your ride was unbalanced. one must lower both rear and front ends to maintain stability.
Check my DP
Get something like this. Search more on the internet on lowering blocks.
i didnt say anywhere that i face stability issues and offcourse both ends were lowered.
i faced DRIVABILITY issues. The suspension had become so stiff that it was almost undrivable.
ok bro. i didn't get it correctly. but that stability info would be useful for OP
this is the best way of doing it. i read somewhere on internet that this block usage in leaf springs is illegal in europe... why is that? does it involve any kind of risks?
do i need to change the shock absorbers as well???
