Indian motorcycle market is decades ahead of ours' thanks to the great competition in the Indian motorcycle market. Motorcycling scene in Pakistan is quite pathetic overall. Honda has the major share being the giant present here for quite some time now. Although Suzuki is also present in Pakistan since long but they never targeted to capture the major market. It would not be out of place to say that GS150 is perhaps the only motorbike by Suzuki that sold most during all this time and unfortunately it doesn't have too many satisfied customers (are we going to have another heated debate?)
Coming to the topic, Suzuki India like the general trend, is decades ahead of Suzuki Pakistan. Compare Indian GS150R to that of GS150 in Pakistan. Following pics are enough to tell the difference:
Indian GS150R:
Pakistan's GS150:
It has been quite some time since GS150 was launched in Pakistan, prices kept on increasing with time while the bike only received some cosmetic changes and I would dare say, hardly any improvement.
Coming back to the Indian market, they have replaced the 150R with a bike that has stirred the already rich Indian bike market. 150R has been replaced by the stunning GSXR155:
GSXR155 has literally challenged the Yamaha's FZ market in India while here in Pakistan Suzuki brought Inazuma, without realizing that its not a bike for the Pakistani market. Feast your eyes with the beautiful GSXR155 and lets wait for the cosmetic changes in our 150 for 2015. Silence..
Some time ago, I started a thread Crusade against Stagnation. I still hold firm to my views written therein. I hope Yamaha does not disappoint us next year, we've been waiting too long for the positive change.
