    Default Suzuki GS125 & GS150 New Model

    Asalam-o-Alaykum,

    Yesterday, I went to university road showroom of suzuki and have been told that Suzuki's GS150 and GS125 new models with discount of 9000 rs on GS125 and 6800 on GS150 will be arriving in a day or two with improved features of;

    1. Crystal headlight.
    2. Changed backlight.
    3. Changed feul tank design.
    4. Revised CDI archetecture.

    I tried to confirm it with other suzuki showroom on Akbar road and they say that they have no information on this and they are still selling old model (he mentioned word "old"). May be they are trying to get rid of the stock at hand first...

    I believe that University road showroom was telling truth as he showed me the company's notification of the price of the bike and their comissions.. he said that he would have let me have it but he has just got it and will be sending someone to make copies of this.

    So if any of u guys can confirm any news on this i would really apreciate it.. thanks.

    as strange as it seem in my owner's manuel the page for the weight and speed limit for the first 1000 km is left blank.. any idea how much weight i can carry on bike and at what speed.. thanks

    these tyres are available here near urdu bazaar karachi, but there is no warrenty for these tyres.. they say that it is korean made.. i felt them and they are monster stuff... couldnt think if a needle or something could penetrate through them real tough tyres... but no warrenty... so i didnt take the risk.. i was told that these are very good tyres.. definately tougher than Service etc, but the warranty is not given as some importer has shiped in a lot and now is soley selling it on his own risk.. .... thanks for the speed limit.

    Shehzie: Congrats on your bike and thanks for putting the pricing schedule online as well. I think I will be getting mine by December IA.

    New GS 150 looks really good with the new graphics! I hated the old ones but these new ones are SLICK! Seems like a perfect first bike for anyone wanting to move on to heavier ones (like myself). Also, I heard from somewhere that Suzuki plans on introducing a 200 cc model soon. Any truth in that?

    First of all, eid mubarak to all u guys. The bike is superb.. one of my mamu and cousin are now selling their GTO123 and CG125 to get this one.. as compared to old model i have noticed a few changes...
    1. Side view mirrors are now changed and black. (i had to get the silver ones seperately for 400 rs a pair.)
    2. footrest dust cover plates are not provided in new model. (i had to get them for 500 rs a pair seperately).
    3. Fuel tank graffix. (they blend in now and are more slick as brother swerveut said..
    4. Plastic case for the egnition key lock is now absent. (i did not purchase that cos now the lock is looking more solid without the plastic case.
    5. Overall finishing has been improved... the nuts and bolts have marker marks just to ensure that they are properly fitted in their spots.
    6. Much improved wiring and changed CDI archetecture. not half but 1/3 self start.. and i kick started it only once since i bought it. it has done like 180 km now (i think).
    7. Silencer grill is missing..
    8. Rear tyre was panther 6 ply 310-18 (which is superb too), but i got it chaned with 9x9-18, tyre goes to 415-18 in GS150.. but since bike is in running now i avoided putting heavier tyre as not to put too much pressure on engine.

    Bike handeling is superbbbbb... all the time now i just finds ways to get out and get a ride on this beauty, handeling is superb, balance is superb, i did not accelerated it over 40, but till 40 it goes like rocket and silent, just a whisper it makes. i took it for long ride about 60 km, and it is like as it gets hotter it gets pumped... a power house all in all.

    by the way, i have a question if someone can answer..

    there are two round meters of GS150, can anyone tell me what is the upper numbers in meter for and what are the lower nubers in meter for.. the lower nubers have a knob by which i can change it back to zero, but i m confused as when i get the bike both started from zero, now upper one is showing running of 180 and lower one is showing running of 306. can anyone help me with this.. there is nothing about this in the manual.

    by the way... the tyre i got is of service 09x09-18 with 6 month warrenty of 1,150 rs. There were korean tyres there going up to 4.15-18 that can fit GS150 of 2,000 rs. without warrenty.

    and according to the upper meter which i guess is of miles.. it is giving me 45.8 miles (i hope) for a liter. awsome average even if in kilometers..

    @Shehzie,
    Dude, the upper meter tells you the total Kilometers your bike has covered.

    The lower one (with the knob), is a trip-meter. I.e. it lets you find distances between two points.

    Like say, in the morning, you reset it to zero. and then ride onto ur school/college, when u reach there, you'll know how far ur college is from ur home. You can then reset it. its pretty useful to find distances b/w points you visit regularly. Lets you keep fuel-economy in ur mind.

    @shehzie: congrates for yr new ride it looks very nice.
    why didnt u go for DSI tyres they are from srilanka and really worth money spending on them my experience with them is totally awesome, in korean tyres u could have find GOLDEN BOY they r really good tyres, expensive than service but looks and works great. they both are w/o warrenty but u dont need warranty for these 2 brands especially DSI. any way best of luck.
