0-100 km/h time in cultus

once a well educated person belonging to auto motive industry and living in france told me that if the power to weight ratio of a car is 175 bhp/ton or less than a simple formula can give you the aprox 0-100 times...
the formula is simply divide weight by hp..
he added that there are exceptions but with a well balanced car this formula is very close and the exceptions are very rare.. he ave many examples .. i dont remember many but remmber mclaren f1...
its true in its case...
so what do you say .

take the weight of cultus 850 kg..
divide by 52
we get 16.34 secs... which is i think true...
btw i have done 0-100 times in gli many times before installing cng and it was never below 13 secs..

and who ever said cultus can do 0-100 km/h in 5-6 s(I believe in first post), you must be dreaming. M5 with V10 and 500 bhp does 0-100 km/h in about 5 sec, so what makes cultus which has less than 100 hp, do 0-100 km/h in less 5-6 sec?

i guess we need to redefine the term 0-100 in 5sec here.
0-100 in 5 sec does "not" mean that you max the accelerator, let the first gear rev to the max then ram the clutch upshift and letgo of the clutch before the gear fully engages giving a lound clunking sound then try your best to reach close to 100 but u can't so u upshift again and finally reach 100 phew ! and while doing all this u're urself counting in ur mind... 1...2...3...4... and u realize that by the time you counted till 5 u had reached 100.
0-100 time lap requires atleast a gadget mounted on ur windscreen that monitors time lapsed against the speed of the vehicle. more accurate measurement would be to use the laser.
so for all of us brothers who claim 0-100 times for their cars.. let's re-calculate

can't we use radar/laser detectors in our cars to avoid tickets on the motorway etc ?

I need that timer you are using to clock these timings, i will definately outrun most of u in that liteace i am working on. 15-16 is a realistic time.
