the coded things you find in my post are engine models - The engine you require are Left Mounted with relatively backward spinning engine like you currently have. To make more sense - open up your car bonnet and also look at a corolla engine - you will notice the engine is placed at opposite ends. Meaning your cars engine is ahead of the left front seat and the corolla one is placed ahead of the driving seat.

Mitsubishi use both engine styles - and the modern one you are looking for is RH mount which wont fit unless you cut your cars original chassis brackets and remake new ones for it. You should do to the market and tell them your car and your engine requirement - they will show you the correct one. And of course you should also know.

Swapping an entirely different engine can be done but its very difficult to find a cost effective honest person to do it. Best stick to what you can do with your current chassis - and use maximum number of off the counter un altered parts to work like the axles, engine mounts etc.

btw getting the new lancer engine will be very very very expensive compared to an old model mitsu engine.

What are the signs of weak engine? As my car is giving me 150-160kms in city in 500pkr. But its not economical on Petrol. And usually knocking while running on petrol but fine in CNG. What should I do?

before you go buying a new engine - buy an oil pressure gauge and a compression tester.

Check compression to see if the compression is still solid - by checking both dry and oiled cylinders (this way you can check the health of the piston/rings and the valves too - next check oil pressure at cold and hot temperatures of the engine. If pressure falls to dangerously low levels of 1 bar or less at hot temperature your crankshaft main and big end bearings are gone.

Most engines in Pakistan are trashed because of mis diagnosis. Get it checked from a someone who is qualified and honest too.

i dont know about Peshawar / RWP ... but here in lahore its demand is very high, i went bilal ganj 2 weeks back saw this engine and just ask price for information .... 60K WOW ... i remember 3 years back in peshawar this engine was ~30K with really low mileage.

Sir Lancer engines are very expensive, if you have the old dolphin shape Lancer, 4G61 will cost you more than 50K Rs.

For the yellow cab shape Lancer, I once saw the 1.6L V6 engine for 60K Rs.

Also try to find the 4G15 12V, best for your budget.

Look for engines in good shape, most shopkeepers will try to sell you the Corolla engine.

I am talking about 4G13 12v .... 4G15 12v was ~70K with M/T and already sold ( the guy said)

that V6 engine is 6A10 140ps ...rare thing you saw

4G61's consumption is on higher side compare to 4G92 both being 1600cc and EFI

Never seen 4G92 here, that was very high performance engine, requires High Octane, how much it cost?

4G61 was only for Dolphin Lancer, also high performance.

4G15 was in both Lancer shapes, in dolphin it was carby, in yellow cab shape it was EFi.

4G91 was only for the yellow cab shape in both carby and EFi.

Ferrari once made a 1.5L V12, if we could split into 2 that can make a 750CC V6.
