1000 miles walk

Dear friends, I intend to walk 1000KM(approx.) to Khunjerab during Jul-Aug this year. At the moment I need following information for the planning;
1. Options to stay overnight at Babusar Top, are there any restrictions?
2. Options to stay overnight at Sost
3. Options to stay overnight after Sost, are there any restrictions?
I hope some of you might have some handy tips. I'll keep posting here with further questions.

1000 km walk...........Oh my God !!

if you have proper weather camping you can stay anywhere.....just inform GB Police at the exit of Sost.

Babusar has no place to say, if you can stand below zero temperatures, you can camp there. Sost has many hotels. Best of luck, keep us posted.

I've been told by the Khunjerab National Park Police that camping is not allowed unless you get a permit from Gilgit. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

This was my first attempt 10km in 2 hours, not bad huh
tomorrow I will attempt 15km in 3 hours,

by foot 1000 miles? how much days/weeks will it take ? what would you be carrying in your backpack?

thanks, as I'm planning it, should take 20-25 days @ 40-50 km/day. I plan to walk light with bare necessities. Always open to suggestions/advice.

I thinks 40-50 km/day will not be possible, u should plan for max 20 km/day and on high altitude may be less. after 3-4 days u will be tired and will definitely will take rest. I don't know whether u guys are following "kamran on Bike" on facebook, he is travelling across america from south to north on a bicycle, even he does not cover 1000 miles in 20 -25 days on a bike.
I think u should plan ur trip properly i think it will not take less than 60 days to cover this distance.
I don't want to hurt u but plan keeping the facts in mind.

Thanks for your comments Bugti, I know it is a difficult task but not impossible. Unfortunately I'm not following "Kamran on Bike" but I'll do now. You see I'm training already and doing 10-15 km in 2-3 hours and I plan to increase it gradually. Anyway, I'll be waiting for your comments on my progress.
