So i got my hands on a civic few months ago, i was in search for a low mileage 2017 cause it suited my pocket, so got a good deal lucky, the vehicle was only 22k driven with complete maintenance history from honda dealership. This vehicle has an electronic throttle. If you just change the way the throttle opens with respect to how much you press it, it feels as if the car is more responsive. This is known as FAKE POWER and could be exactly what has been done.

Yes, ive heard about the fake shifts, however i've actually tested the car with a stock 1.8, it's actually faster.

looks nice but I would suggest oem piano black front grill with oem front honda logo and removing that fake fender vent rest its all personal preference

Hey i just found this thread, im really curious what the 0 - 100 is of a unichipped civic (if im correct in saying yours is unichipped) I've taken feedback from some other civic owners, me and them all face this sort of rpm sticking at 4k issue, where if you floor it the rpm gets stuck at 4000 and slowly goes to redline, and sometimes it doesn't, does the unichip resolve that problem? also what's your 0 to 100 please do share because im seriously considering buying it for mine

So, before I answer your question, I'm just going to clarify that it is not a unichip/racechip it is a tune that was done on the ecu by unichip.

So about the 4k rpm issue I have not faced that surprisingly i have a friend that has a similar problem, so there are 2 reasons why i may have not faced this. The first one being, I only use hioctane, which according to me makes the car a little faster itself and secondly because of the tune. (This is my opinion)

I have done a 0-100, with warm tyres, traction off and a half tank of hioctane, i got a solid 9.2 second 0-100 and i just noticed my cars rpm gets stuck for like a second or even less at 5k

I have never faced any issue of RPM stuck despite using regular fuel and Hioctane both

I haven't aswell, but some people actually do, i dont know if hioctane actually matters but i hope it does. That's all i've been using.

It's not a fault with the car itself just the way that the civics cvt behaves, it has a mind of its own sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't, this is the "CVT Lag" that unichip claims they remove with their tune which according to the brother with the tune seems to be a true claim
