For the police check, can i walk into any khidmat markaz / police station and ask them to check?

Another query. Can i go to any Honda 3s with the car and all remotes that i get and ask them to disable any other remotes paired with the car?

It is very high price for 2016 oriel. It shouldn't be more than 50.

4 owners for 75k mileage needs to be seen with history.

Police verification is a must. Go to khadmit center with owner and get it verified. Don't leave it to bank.

If you have verified from.police and workshop, then go ahead. If it is through dealer then it is better .

Sorry for posting in the wrong thread but I needed the best advice possible on this. I got my Honda Civic RS Xi delivered in the beginning of march. Since then, I noticed a slight burning smell from the hood but ignored that and on inquiring from honda, they called it normal for turbo engines.The burning smell isnt there anymore (that may be due to new car seals parts etc). As per now, I’ve driven the car 2500 kms and noticed that it is very hot even after a short trip in city at normal speed. Today, after a 25-30 minutes drive in islamabad at normal speed, the car was hot and the fan was running for 15-20 minutes straight and i had to turn the car off with running fan after waiting a lot. Is it actually normal for this generation or Honda’s turbo engines considering the mileage (2500km) of the car as well. The car's engine oil has not been changed, is bone stock and running on hi octane. Any advice or opinion from owners would be highly appreciated.

1st oil change is done early. It's to get rid of any contaminants from machining processes.

It is normal in Turbo engine. No need to worry. You did good for waiting for few minutes before switching off. Usually this haooens when you floor car hard.

Have a 2018 civic, and I think the steering has started the issue. For now it's fine but sometimes there is that clicking noise and sometimes when the steering is turned and the car is not moving there are small micro jerks.

It will go bad eventually, but can it be replaced in warranty? We are the 2nd owner and it's not been completely maintained by honda, probably around 60-70% maitenance done by Honda.

What have you guys done about the OEM Infotainment system on 2016 X Turbo? I just got the car and the system is use less. Sygic, Google Maps, Waze do not work. Would Honda or the vendor provide any software update at all? Its currently on Android 4.2.2. and doesn't even run older version of APKs.

what do you guys say about the ECON feature? I think i am finding the feature less helpful in city driving.

The car i got is 75k driven in 9 years and most items are still the factory fitted ones such as the front and rear disk pads, spark plugs, fuel filter, coolant etc. Is there a need to get any part or lubricant changed at this point regardless of their condition?

Also, is it safe to assume that since the current mileage of the car (75k kms) is closer to the 80k service becoming due, i have yet to see the optimum performance from the car specially w.r.t. CVT oil being due shortly?

Another thing, has anyone installed the aftermarket door control module (similar to RS) which integrates the side mirror retraction and unfolding with the car being locked and unlocked? Is is safe, plug and play and alteration free?

Cvt fluid should be changed every 2-3 years or 40-50kms. Coolant every 5-6 years.

Tagging a few frequent posters and other knowledgeable members since I have quite a few questions

Combining my queries for ease. The car in question is a 2016 X Turbo, 75k milage with service history. The car looks and drives like new.

1. The car's been driven with OEM maintenance which essentially was oil, filters, brake service once, CVT oil change at 40k. Most items are still the factory fitted ones such as the both sets of disk pads, spark plugs, fuel filter, coolant etc. Is there a need to get any part or lubricant changed at this point regardless of their condition?

2. Is it safe to assume that since the current mileage of the car (75k kms) is closer to the 80k service becoming due, i have yet to see the optimum performance from the car specially w.r.t. CVT oil being due shortly?

3. Recommendation on installing (and places in Lahore) for the following items:

   • Aftermarket door control module (similar to 2019 RS) which integrates the side mirror retraction and unfolding with the car being locked and unlocked? Is is safe, plug and play and alteration free?
   • Wind Deflectors? Which brand to go with?
   • Trunk Hinge Cover & Liner
   • Engine bay/fender cover
   • Wind Deflectors? Which brand to go with?

4. I did a factory reset of the OEM Infotainment module when i got the car. It is on Android 4.2.2 and does not run any navigation or media apps. The navigation SD card is missing .If i get the card, would Sygic start working? Is there any hope of a software update from Honda or Tracking World? Would getting the OEM unit from 2019-21 RS do any good? If the answer to everything is no then what is the best aftermarket option for this car? I would like to retain maximum cameras and the rear screen integration.

5. Can i take the car to the dealership with the 2 remotes i got and ask them to check and disable any other remote(s) paired with the car?

6. Roughly 3 out of 10 engine startups (completely random, irrespective of hot or cold start) are not the usual. There is a hollow/metallic rattle sort of sound at the end of the start cycle, with the engine itself behaving normally. What could it be?

7. Does using the brake hold feature burn more fuel? I am so sorry I just upgraded from Aqua so still trying to establish the best practices with this car. . What i normally do is I do use the brake hold feature but I shift the gear to Neutral on long traffic lights. Is this acceptable?

I have installed after market window controller module in my Oriel 2017 and its working fine being plug & play. Installed from Rawalpindi Babu Mohallah from Auto Gallery 3x years back & cost was Rs.6500.
Only negative side; when u lock your car, it automatically closes all windows & sunroof (if left open) even if you want to keep one window little bit down for air ventilation.

yes i saw one module it has 5-6 flip switches where you can choose which option to utilize. I plan to utilize only the side mirror folding option.

My electrician tried switches but of no use, do u have any idea how to stick to only mirror folding

There is nothing wrong in your car. However if you want peace of mind then get all oils changed including CVT .

You can get good after markets from reputable shop in your city. Also megamotorsport ( if I remember corrwcrly) is website which sells quality parts.

You can contact tracking world fir software update. Ir replace unit with 2021 model unit.

Brake hold feature is with gear for short duration on stops. For longer duration, better to use it without gear.

Don't use engine bay or fender cover as it generates massive heat

checked with Honda and Tracking World. They do not provide any support or update for this unit anymore. Units from 2021 model also not available with them. Is there a replacement aftermarket unit which will help me retain maximum number of cameras and the rear screen integration?

You need to explore market as I seriously doubt that any thing is there that supports rear screen
