I’ve had it since last year, dealerships don’t even acknowledge it.. says it’s useless; there are no benefits.

So I kinda ******up today or maybe not.

I had this cool little OBD scanner lying around with fancy looking App and features, got it for free actually so figure let’s try it out today. Before plugging in I tried to locate the port and that’s where I messed up big time. I had no clue there were fuses underneath right next to that port and I may have fingered them real bad while trying to make sense of scanner’s port position.

Before I even plug that thing all sorts of lights were lit on the cluster, I tried good ol’ turn off & on method but no dice the check engine orange light was still lit. I hooked up the scanner and found these 3 issues, tried clearing one of them which I think was related to that light and the light was gone. It didn’t come back but the scanner is still reporting that issue. Should I take it to Honda get it sorted or what? I’m not sure what to make of the other 2 errors or are they by default there since I’ve seen some default errors on my Grande as well that would never go away.

My car has done about 39,000 km. I just called honda lyallpur for 40k service and they made a total bill of around 42k and said fuel filter, cvt oil and gear oil will be changed. Need your recommendations what things should i go for in 40k service.

All issues mentioned can take place in any car.

Check these issues before buying .

Yes 40K maintinace costs like this. Better to change CVT oil rest break pads or fuel filter u can see needed or not.
It depends upon car conditions which parts need to be replaced.

No there is no heat up or coolant issue.

As @jklodhi said find well maintained car with its service history from Honda. Before finalizing deal bring it to any Honda dealership and asked them that you want to buy so they do detail check up. They will take 2-3 K and will check
1. Steering assembly
2. AC evaporator
3. Catalytic Converter
4. Whole suspension
5. Computer test
6. Brake pads condition
7. Plugs Condition
8.Other regular maintenance parameters

What ever part need to be replaced they will give you estimate so you will get know how much kharcha car needs which will help you in negotiating price with seller.For body touching you can get it checked from any body painter.

Once all checked you have peace of mind and you can enjoy its drive. People buy abused cars and then don't spend on periodic maintenance and then complaint that car performance is not up to the mark

Kindly explain the type of noise coming from the steering
I have august 2018 model oriel with 21000 km on odo
I have been noticing this thing in my car for the last 1 or 1 and half month that its gets struck mostly while turning on the right side or when changing lane but sometimes it is quite normal
I have shown it to honda they are saying this is the start of the problem and we have not laumched claim on it. The claim would be possible if the noise gets louder with the passage of time.
I use this car only sometimes most of time it remains parked. @arkhitekt bhai @jklodhi please advice as my warranty is about to expire soon!

Ask them.to launch warranty claim immediately. If they are acknowledging that its start then they are bound to accept claim.

Don't waste time and immediately go for claim . You may have to push them .
