I don't think Honda will leave market . They would launch new city in next 6-9 months .

Overall production in every segment is downsized due to COVID coupled with economic conditions.

I have emailed Honda Japan, but they havent responded yet. A friend who works in Honda North America told me that Honda Atlas has been under the radar by Honda Japan because of quality issues since some time now.

The launch of the new Honda City will probably be the last-ditch effort by the company IF it decides to stay in Pakistan.

This news is based on some internal leaks and will become official in the next few months. Honda Atlas will obviously deny any such news at this time, which makes sense.

I would advise people not to buy any new Honda product until their future is clear in Pakistan. I think the next 6-7 months will be crucial.

Honda might not leave this market but they might consider changing their local partner and revamping their entire management. I don’t think there is anything lacking from their Japanese managment.

I highly doubt all these immature rumours but still lets assume if they are true: The max that will happen is, Honda will change partner and instead of Atlas it could be someone else but rest assured Honda will not wind up its operations from Pakistan.

This dropped sales is always something that the company is ready for and their profit management keeps this margin in their production to cater for such a future problem. It’s not just Honda but even huge multi trillion dollar corporations globally that are going through a crisis as well

The management control of Honda Atlas is with Honda Japan not with Atlas,Atlas is partner
likewise pak suzuki's management is with Suzuki motors only Toyota Indus's management control is with local partner i.e Habib group

If Honda is serious about quality issues then they will definitely change their local partner in the near future since they already have the management control here

Aoa, I've recently bought Civic 1.8 2017 (November manufactured). Odo reading is 56,000 kms. I'm facing a problem and I hope that someone can guide me better. Whenever I drive the car below 60kmph, there is knocking. Rpm is fluctuating.
What could be the possible reason? Plugs, coils & oils are all right.

A mechanic told me that issue is in CVT transmission, however I don't agree with him because the vehicle changes gear smoothy. It only happens in between the gears on low speed.

CVT doesn't have gears. It's a belt driven transmission

Thanks for your reply. I'll go to Honda 3S workshop here in Islamabad after Eid holidays, in the mean-time I wanted to discuss my issue here so that maybe someone who came across this issue can guide me how they fixed it.

Avoid mechanics. These cars are not for mechanics. They make a mess of it with jugars. Always go to 3S for such jobs.

bhai if u dont mind can i ask. bilal keep no profit, he is selling for humanitarian ground. Other if it is Thailand import, it is also OEM part. Its quality should be same as 3s are better., then why performance differ??

Companies normally don't change the partners it is highly unlikely. with regard to quality issue it is with HONDA as they are in QA/QC, and not solely local guy here who doesn't manufactures a needle. Company normally wrap up business depending upon profit. i hardly heard any company quit owing to quality issue. so plz don't spread rumors in name of quality. Globally when multinational companies face financial crisis they sell their business in poor countries or less profitable regions like Pakistan. Examples are OMV, ICI, BP, BHP. they normally sell business to lacal partners

When did I say performance differ? IT IS SAME

And do you know basics of how MNC companies operate? If you do which you seem to do because of the knowledge you try to shed here then the simple mathematics is
1. Bilal does not pay GST like Altas does
2. Bilal does not pay income tax like Atlas does
3. Bilal does not have overheads like Atlas does
4. Bilal does not earn like Atlas does either

So obviously his end cost even after his profit will be much lower for selling the same thing. In case of Atlas: Do you really expect a Multi Billion Trillion industry to give you something without charging their additional profits and overheads that a single entity individual can do? It is not the fault of Atlas either that they need to sell parts after adding all these factors into cost. I don’t blame them.
