Guys need guidance, can any of you share their experience with Caltex Fully Synthetic CVT Fluid used in Civic X.

It is compatible with Honda CVTF HCF2. pasting the picture and compliance below. would be grateful for insightful feedback

I haven't yet checked it for Civic X but it is working fine in my Suzuki JDM as it is compatible with required CVT Green 2. I have changed it twice in that and so far so good where my ODO is 110K+

Stick to OEM, got CVT changed 10 days back price is 7,000 and labor is 1K from Honda township

Honda recommends changing catalytic converter of turbo cars at 30k km.
What is the experience of community in this regards since catalytic converter is expensive.

Just 30K KM and they are recommending to change the CC? are you sure?

Yes, this is true. I read this on the price list of new Honda vehicles. It was clearly written catalytic convert need to be changed for turbo engines. Basically, they were warning customers beforehand that they have to change the CC to avoid any legal issues later after the purchase.

I am guessing here. I think it's due to poor fuel quality in Pakistan.

But is it still holds true? All the variants of new civics are turbocharged, is it true for them as well? or was it true for 16/17 models only? If that's the case, it is one costly ownership of turbo engines I didn't knew about.

It's recommended for both Civic X and Civic XI. But that's what Honda is saying.
The real question is do anyone actually face any issue if they don't change the catalytic converter?

No need at all. I am at 50k and doing fine Alhamdolilah. Fully maintained by 3S ans haven't heard of it anywhere .

Elantra is the most insulated of all 3 and has the best build quality of all c segment sedans. i have first hand experience with all 3 so you can consider it an authentic feedback.

In my experience of sitting twice, its way louder than civic and close to corolla. Could be tyres and all reviews mention this issue as well

Still not valid and not required even nitnmentioned in any 3S service bulletin .

This is for leraon who uses bad fuel mostly. Also catalytic converter, if bad, is easiky identified with bad bad high end pick and low mileage.

Blockage is actually seen by using an inspection camera (or borescope) as I have had done for my 1.8 at the 3S dealer every 20,000 km. I had a bad cat con choking on my Gen 8 (reborn) so ever since that time as a precaution I get the Gen X cat checked every 20,000. I make sure I personally see the honeycomb myself so that I am not told it is clogged when actually it is not. Car has crossed 80,000 with no hint of any deposits. However a 1.5 T may behave differently to a 1.8 NA engine. My advice would be to inspect at every 30,000 and take the right decision based on the situation found. On a 1.8 engine the inspection is done by removing the O2 sensor before the cat con and inserting a tiny camera in the O2 hole. On the 1.5 T I dont know how easy it would be.
