I agree to this point but excessive over speeding is equally dangerous. Social media is full of cases where vehicles get into pieces with no survivors. Then we see comments full of complaints about local vehicle's build quality. What no one discusses is vehicle speed was 160~180.
Furthermore, I agree 65 is very less limit. Don't know where this number come from.
Again agree to this point, but this is also done by fast drivers. I have seen most of the time people usually complain a lot on the internet about slow drivers which they are absolutely correct, but I have some concerns with fast drivers as well. Usually I have seen they don't have patience which is also a hazard.
Here's usually what happens. A sensible "driver A" driving in 2nd lane not too slow, nor too fast. A slow vehicle comes in his lane, and he has to slow down and wait to get in 1st lane when it gets some space. As soon as there's space and the incoming vehicle with "driver B" in 1st lane is far behind, the vehicle with "driver A" moves in 1st lane to overtake the slow vehicle in the middle lane. "Driver B" gets crazy and starts giving lights even though they are not even close enough. This literally drives me nuts. We all should have some patience and let others pass. The situation gets dangerous when the fast moving vehicle with "driver B" don't slow down and still try to pass everyone with sharp turns. Super dumb thing to do on motorways.
Here's what I do in this situation. If I see a vehicle moving in my lane and I am far behind, I leave the accelerator and apply brakes if the vehicle gets close. No lights, no horn. Let them pass. Most of the time I don't have to use brakes at all. I start re-accelerating as soon as they pass.
