Nothing competes with RS turbo bro. Go for it. Finding one is the tricky part. Elantra can be a good choice only if you are finding an oriel but not getting a good one in your budget.

1. Is civic turbo 2017 still a good option in 2025? What are some things to watch for while buying one?

2. How would you compare turbo 2017 with Oriel 2019 in terms of faults and maintenance?

Hey, I have heard that normal petrol in Pakistan had too low of RON to support smooth running of RS Turbo engine and only hi-octane should be used. Do you have any insights on this?

You can use any petrol you want provided it isn't complete garbage. I haven't used hi-octane in my 2016 Turbo since 2018.

Salam everyone,
I just saw few videos on Youtube about how to change CVT oil in Civic-X which says car should be cooled down for 3 to 4 hours, then after pouring in new oil, keep car start in p mode for 2 mins, then in D for 20 mins and then in R for 20 mins to remove any air in the system..wat i understood. The videos tells X transmission issues arose for not following above method by dealership as well.
Any insight from fellow members.

That is certainly possible. Most CVT issues occur because 1) people change oil way too frequently which is not needed for CVT and 2) When they change, they don’t follow the correct method.

Sadly even dealerships here don’t change with the proper method. At least for Toyotas .

Don't know about keeping in D/R for 20 minutes but when I went for CVT oil change to Honda Margalla Motors, They waited 30 minutes for cooling of the transmission & oil then changed the oil and kept car running for few minutes for proper lubrication.

PS: They give cooling time for their own safety. If they open the screw immediately their hands will burn.

with AC it’ll be around 10-11 max. More than this usually means incorrect method of calculation, not much traffic congestion/braking or hi octane fuel.
