Thanks dear stonecold316, I am from Southran Punjab, so rust issue in 2017-19 model civic is very rare in our area as compared to Karachi. Yes other mechanical issues, fuel consumption especially in local and its low ground clearance still bothers me. I am Corolla user from last 13-14 years. Last year i replaced my 4 year old Yaris with Civic 9th Gen vti oriel prosmatic, 2016 model. It was totally different experience and i am enjoying it. But i am not commfortable with 10 year old car as it requires high maintinance. Same thing is stopping me for going for Honda Vezel. So trying to upgrade it with somthing newer. I never used city before. So have very little knowledge about it. Only considering it due to it will be newer Honda Car, well within my budget, with good fuel econmy.
I can extend few bucks but not 15 lacs as i have also to buy some small car like Mehran/Cultus 2012-14 models for my house hold use. Otherwise i will have to again to shift to rolla with hard heart (As i can not abuse Hondas every day).

exactly this is my point i have driven corolla found stiff drive

when i drove once my friend brother civic x i fall in love with the grip acceleration v.connected car driver oriented car
but

10 years civic i am seeing lot of issues in forum so its too hard to find clean car in khi..in budget i have visited so many civics but in pic and in reality totally diff some are v.good but asking price was like Sone ke bani hoi gari.. phir agay se arey ap nai pata yeh CIVIC X hy urti hy urti..lol

Hondas are known to be stiffer as per our paper made pakistani people
But i agree with you i found the civic far more comfortable then that 11 year old donkey cart that becomes a juming castle on wheels if at high speed the road is even slightly un even

No dear, presently i am out of city for my job for almost next 15 days. Also i am still undecided on what is best buy in my budget. Because before my present Honda Rebirth 2016, i rarely used cars which are more than 5 year old. I dont want to make any decision in rash which i regret later on. Heart says go for Civic X 2017-18, mind says go for some newer and ecnomical car in this budget.
I I think there may be minor differnce if any if i go for Civic X 2017-2019, which is in my budget.

What you decided then,
Is Honda City is spacious enough and comfortable for 5 personals on long routs, one can adjust even in 660 if the travel is short but long travels with family need something comfortable and spacious.
I know Corolla is good option in all aspects according to my needs, i am only avoiding it as my all previous vehicles before present Civic Rebirth 2106 were Toyota (Indus 2000, Vitz 2013, Altis 2012, GLI 2015, Yaris Pak 2020).
In this regard i think civic X is good option also to change the taste and looks. Only fearing its maintinance issue and reliabilty.
Still working on it if i am comfortable with Civic x or not (As going to workshops every month is not inmy book, this is y going to change my rebirth).
If not comfortable then will get some driving experice of present Honda city and then will go for City/Corolla accordingly.

i can asure you Ciic X is a good vehicle
my uncle has had one sice 2017 and he totally satisfied with it
HE gets great fuel average as well 13-14 km/l in city
He has has scarcely done long routes
But one in 2019 to Swat, didn't have any issue there as well
gave a great fuel average of 18-19 km/l on 110 km/h

Had had no issues reported in that gen
Steering Rack still the genuine one from Honda Company
Only had AC Compressor Issue that to 2 months ago

Otherwise even after 130,000 kms and 8 years of owenrship, he has never had a single issue with the car and is a happy customer
He loves it more then his Haval H6 HEV Frankly

Go For it
if you can get the 2019 Facelift or the Atleast Post November Red Meter Facelift
The best is to get the 2021 model Facelifts as they are totally flawless
but only if ur budget allows

Try to get car with service history

Well maintained

Check AC performance
And steering rack.

Better take someone who owns Turbo

I will go for late 2018 or 2019 model Insah Allah. 2021 model is out of my budget. I will try to get something clean with service history and low mileage even i have too pay some extra bucks.

I wanted to discuss a certain issue i am facing with my Honda civic X 2018.
Firstly, I was facing a steering rack issue, the rack was making strange noises when being pulled fully from side to side so i decided to get it fixed from a Local mechanic i knew who had good experience with this type of problems. He added Fresh bushings and repaired the column.
During the Repair, we found a few things that needed to be replaced such as Z-links & Drive belt. (Replaced accordingly)
After the Repair, the steering now feels much harder to use, even after alignment of the vehicle but there is no more noise.
Is this normal that the steering which was so smooth before now is hard as alto?
if so what could be the possible solutions to this?

Steering rack can't be repaired but replaced only.

Usually mechanic do apply grease to improve race stuck phenomenon.

Better take it back and ask. It seems that he has messed up some sensor

Possible and only solution is to replace rack. You cannot change bushes.

my Steering Rack was not internally damaged or slow before just that it was making a strange noise when turning sometimes. I took it to honda first and they said it was a common fault in 2016-2018 models for which they were fixing under warranty. But i had bought this car used after warranty was over.

You may ask the person who has repaired.

Else get new one. It will be under warranty from Honda.
