You are absolutely correct in saying that the ticking noise is the VSA doing its job. The VSA works by comparing each tire speed to each other. If all four tires are turning at the same speed "All IS WELL". But what happens if one or two tires loose grip of the road and begin to slip (as happened when you violently turned the wheel from side to side)? What you did was to trick the car into thinking that you had lost control and the car and it was in a skid situation. The VSA allows a predetermined slip but if the difference in tire speeds go beyond the allowable amount, it applies the brakes on JUST the tire(s) that are now spinning faster due to the skid. In this way the skidding tires get a chance to slow down and regain grip of the road. In extreme cases of car skid, the VSA will also cut fuel supply to the engine or close throttle in order to slow down the entire car for it the gain road grip. When the VSA is doing all this, the ticking noise heard are the the various valves of the VSA and other parts doing their jobs.
There is one other point I'd like to make here: One of the posters here mentioned that the 1.5T has a problem as the ticking is heard more while the 1.8 doesn't have this problem. In my humble opinion that is simply because the 1.5 has 30 more HP and more importantly, this engine develops ALL its torque (the twisting power) at just 1700 RPM (4300 RPM for the 1.8 engine). That translates to one being able to spin the 1.5T front wheels far easier than the 1.8 car. So each time one is a bit enthusiastic with the accelerator and there is wheel spin, the VSA steps in the control the spin and makes the tick tick sound. This is not to be confused with knocking.

As per your last paragraph, do you mean 1.5T becomes unstable quite often and VSA has to come in to stabilize the car again & again?? due to its little more HP?... It means some problem with design engineering by Honda????
No sir. I never said "unstable". I said SPIN THE FRONT WHEELS. Same as putting a manual car in first gear then revving the engine to max and popping the clutch

Our car market is being offered a car with slightly more power than what we are used to so initially there will be some doubts. Today cars with 600 or 900 HP are quite abundant. In the hands of inexperienced drivers such cars end up in horrific accidents. No fault of the designers or the car. Just drivers that don't respect the power they are in control of.
1.5T being the most powerful locally assembled car, It is easy to test the limits of Physics. So when the driver mashes his right foot at the traffic light no need to wonder why the VSA is activated.

Well....still i would say there is some flaw in Pakistani Turbos.....why these physics laws dont work on other turbo cars like Audi etc????..........their VSA doesnt come in to action when you throttle them...why is that so??
Janab kaha German made garia aur kaha Pakistani assembled garia .yeh to aisae hi ha jaisae aap Pakistani pm ko uk pm se compare kar rahae ho
Ji bilkul janab aisa hi hai...koi match nahin hai....magar baat wohi ajati hai k phir is ka matlab hai k Pakistani Turbos main koi na koi masla to hai which is not normal...aap us maslay ko technically durust sabit karnay ki koshish na kijiay....accept kijiay k abhi Pakistani Turbo engineering main khaamian hain.....
To ho gi Janab khamiyan .meri konsi khala ki company lagti ha jo main uskae defend Karoo?

As an owner of Turbo and Oriel both, I can safely say with experience that the Turbo, yes, has a lot more power than any PKDM to date however the tires it comes with are not able to hold the car and they will not do. This could be a major factor behind the VSA kicking in more than usual. In other countries, I doubt that they will give their customers such standards of tires that the buyer is forced to change them very soon.
BG Luxo will do just ok in in Oriel however they are the first thing people should change in their Turbo and if they want to enjoy the turbo a little, the use them and abuse them and then get new ones as the kind of road grip you get from other good foreign brands makes it harder to make the Turbo spin its wheels from the get go. Also if you go one size up like the 225s, then you will have to abuse the tires a lot for their tread to decrease a little for a little reminder of wheel spin action as I have Michellin Primacy 3 ST 225s which are hardly two weeks old and upon flooring the vehicle, which I do very often, they grip the road like anything and launch the car ahead hence making the car just a tad bit boring as you don't feel the oomph factor anymore until the tread on these good tires reduces.
