I think honda will not stop production of turbo. It may be halted for the fixing of issue..

So usually I don't drive really fast...I find raw acceleration more fun than high speeds...But still got the car upto 150 km/h on a local road here in Islamabad..and man the stability is amazing..you don't even feel that your going at 150...the car feels so together and in control ....

Need some advice from the modifying car gurus here....So I called unichip and they say that they can add 25 hp with and ecu flash on my oriel and improve low end torque...They are asking 30k for it...

Is it worth it ? Or is there any other option available as well...

I too have been investigating the Unichip option. I have come to know from Honda Classic that two engines blocks in Lahore exploded. This was told to me by the Service dept and the Sales dept. I didn't ask if it was the turbo or Oriel. I don't know if they were just saying thing to discourage owners from going to Unichip, You can make your own inquiries abut this and decide if you want to add more power.

Engine blocks exploding seems a bit far fetched.....The thing is unichip dosen't have a setup in Islamabad..where I can go and investigate myself...

A while ago I saw a post on Unichip fb page showing a picture of a front burnt Civic X that the burning was due to aftermarket HIDs and not due to engine block blast.

Please share all turbo users their experiences about tick tick sounds in turbo......Either they have it in their turbo or not if yes then what's the frequency....thanks

i experience very seldom & have driven upto 16000km. you can say it appears once every 500-1000kms. it's not that serious that your car can't move with it. even if it appears, you feel awesome driving it.

I am a very gentle driver no hard acceleration or racing type. I try to drive smoothly and that gives me pleasure.
I own turbo since last 2 months haven't come across any noise or knocking. I always run on ECO mode and use Total High Octane 100%.

I tried to check my Turbo on 2 different occasions. ECO Mode ON, D-Drive, hard acceleration and it knocks for a few seconds as you ease accelerator it vanishes and doesn't bother if you go gently and accelerate no knocking.

ECO Mode Off, S-Drive full floored gas paddle no knock or sound. For me its too much as it goes to 150 in seconds.

Installed after market Racing Pro Chip from Taiwan. Have options of 1 to 5 selectable that increases your HP by 10HP each step, 1 is standard so at 5 you get increase of 40HP. With chip installed position 5 max. S-Drive no knock, but on D Drive it knocks. At position 3 which is 20HP boost D-Drive full acceleration no knocking and of course Eco Mode off.

I am planning to remove the chip and drive it as it is on factory default. And whenever you need hard acceleration you can jump to S-Mode with Eco Off.

I hope that sheds light on some of the questions raised.

i had unichip in my turbo civic and it had 5 maps which can be change thru unichip app via bluetooth. My civic had mild to severe knocking depending on different hioctane so i went for unichip but still knocking appeared as i noticed turbo civic on raised boost is not good idea for warm/hot climate especially in Khi...the boost increase also increased the IAT and tht not really good for the turbo engine as it drop the power as well. So i removed the unichip and went for reflash, now its been 3 days with reflash with no knocking at all but m missing the power of unichip.

Today I called Honda center my contact and he totally denied any such thing in Pakistan. There is no incident of engine block exploding.

Yes he informed that Turbo is suspended temporarily to resolve knocking. Once upgrade comes, all previous owners would be compensated

I used to have it but with Total fuel combination of HOBC and RON 92 it is almost gone.

Its frequency is very less , that too if you press more than half pedal at low rpm without Hi octane

Question for Oriel
Is it advisable to run oriel always on high octane or ratio with super should be done.

Nice share, did you face any ground clearance issues on the way, could you please share the route you took.

Normal petrol is Ron 92 , it should be good. However, mixing with Hioctane would improve mileage and engine response

I changed my stock tyres on day 1st....new tyre size is 215/60R16......

I think ground clearance is very good in this car.....koi masla.nai hoaaa....
