I received my Oriel two days ago. This was the car was forced to get after the Turbo knocking issue forced my to change my order from Turbo to Oriel. Atlas Honda is providing the car to the customers who change from Turbo to other car within 15 days. But I had to make daily trips to Classic Honda and sit there to for hours as the Classic staff spoke to various Atlas GMs and production staff to remind them of their 15 day commitment to the customers who changed their orders. Long story short, the car arrived after 18 days of my changing my order. Now I have to get behind them to give me my refund (the difference between turbo and oriel).
Initial impressions? The pluses: The ride is much more sophisticated. That is most probably due to the multi link rear suspension. Of course I am moving over from a manual 8th gen so the CVT is a pleasant change. I would have preferred an auto box but for city driving it makes no difference. Rear seat room is phenomenal. Almost limousine like. The minuses: The infotainment system is not user friendly. For example if one has to increase bass or treble one has to drill down a menu to find these settings. There are other things like when not in use it should display a black screen with a clock. This option is there again one has to go through the menu to find the screen saver but each time the car is switched off and on it goes back to the default radio. The a/c too in auto mode is not good enough to keep the cabin at the selected temperature. By comparison our 2014 Passo does an outstanding job of keeping the passengers (also back seat ones) very comfortable. In the Civic, with the temperature set at 22 the back seat passengers complained of feeling warm on a number of times during a drive last evening. In the Passo, the temperature is set to 25 and the a/c keeps the car cabin really really very comfortable.
So I am not too thrilled with the 10th gen.
