If you think that the only thing in a car is acceleration then don't think about 1.8
I really want to know what is the difference of drive and by drive please don't use the words acceleration and faster, so without the use of these two words I want to know what is the difference in braking, turning, stability, comfort and handling etc.
People who used to have 1.8 Reborn in the past for races have all of a sudden grown too mature to call the same engine in a car to be sluggish box on wheels 
because now many of those racers have bought the ultimate driving machine of Pakistan...lolz... its a car guys don't crack me up each time for making it a Ferrari equivalent. My neighbors modified Charade 1988 Turbo can humiliate almost everything out there.
Coming to the point: if you want pleasure, go for Civic whichever variant. If you don't consider things like driving position, better grip and pleasure then go for Grande and this is my opinion not a verdict
