Answer to your quest 1 (This is my 3rd visit to hometown Mianchanu in which i refrained my self of touching and staying a bit @ 140 / 160) stretches of Okara By pass and Harapa to Mianchanu. Came at around 80 to 110 with active driving

Touched only 3 to 4 times 130 and 140 briskly after overtakings
It includes lahore urban 30kms including 15 mins idling AC on also but all on Econ On
Previous 2 visits with idling of 30 mins approx and more active driving style gave me 14.8 and 15.2 respectively with Econ OFF.

Not it coz of badly driven, it also counts on days even if ur car is not running for many days or weeks it will still cut down the engine oil life. My A3 engine oil life is 8000km or 8months whichever come first but wit me every 7th months it remind me of changing oil time in coming days.

oh bhai hereunder you may see a pic of mileage of turbo. it covered 425km from fsd to gujranwala & back to fsd. it's motorway & local mixed & anyone can guess how rushy road from kala shah kaku to gujranwal uses to be. means sudden acceleration with subsequent braking every minute n if in such situation it can give this like mileage then how good situation can be on normal roads

Just the maintenance reminder. Comes on automatically on startup when oil life ~15%. Press the trip odo knob and it will disappear. To reset, change oil, press knob until oil life is displayed, hold until it blinks, hold again to confirm reset. Obviously only do it after oil change.

1. I guess you are referring to the turbo lag. It won't be there in 1.8 NA
   And in case of CVT I guess till the turbo kicks in both will react similarly.

Referring to auto CVT tranny lag in either case. I am used to Manual tranny and have felt lag in older non-CVT autos I have had the occasion to drive like Reborn.

1. Mileage difference will be max 1km/l. Turbo will give 1km/l more if driven properly.
   Usually turbo likes to be floored so in that case average shouldn't matter.

I heard 9th gen gave 13-14km/ltr but realistically, I only get 9-11km/ltr in city and 13-15km/ltr on highway (GT road, M2 depending on traffic in former) depending on driving style. That is my baseline for 1.8NA mileage. I have heard owners quoting much higher mileage figures for 1.5T.

1. Nopes. Turbo never runs fine on regular 92 RON no matter what. It will knock no matter which pump you use. It needs hi octane that too of total only. It even knocks on hi octane of PSO and Shell. Shell being the worst.
   Plus not all pumps of total are the same so you need to check which pump is more consistent.

Hmmm... fuel inconsistency is a big issue.

1. Navigation is worth getting in case of oriel. Infact it is must.
   I have got leather for my oriel only in the case that I like my car in factory fitting because fabric this time is terrible. And also I don't like my car too be ripped apart later on for after market leather. So if you are fine with fabric seats or want to save money fun going for after market leather then don't opt for leather package.
   Rest are useless.

Thanks for your comments/info. I checked out leather Oriel and it seemed fine but I know Atlas leather cracks and stretches badly over time from my past experience with City. I don't know if their leather quality has improved since then.

Isn't after market leather put on top of existing fabric/leather?

How is the rear seating space for seating adults and its comfort for aged people?

I had a look at a Civic today at showroom and the rear seat center console (retractable) seemed to be made with very bad quality/density foam since wire outline (edge frame) at edges could be felt on minor pressing. I doubt it can take slight body weight without becoming uncomfortable.

In 1.8 Oriel, there is a large gap under driver side console (cup holder area) and it's bottom had screws open and visible instead of proper rubber sheet. Is such rubber sheet available as an accessory from Atlas or aftermarket?

I liked the wire holder slots in upper rack area (in console) above power outlet. Convenient and functional.

Current delivery time is February/March for 1.8NA Oriel.

Please comment on above queries.

The comfort for elderly people is awkward when they try to get in. My dad doesn't exactly love sitting in my Civic because he thinks its too low of a seating to get in. And every single time he occasionally rides in my car he uses the same words yaar yeh buhut neechi hai bethnay main

But once seated in the car then comfort is fine.

About the armrest well I haven't exactly thought of it as critically as you said.

The centre console is bigger than turbo (which has wiring and rear screen fitted in the same area) and more practical. You can increase storage with this 1000 bucks shelf tray available which will create a mid level partition for more utility and also hide the screws of base level

By the way in this picture (my car) the seats and console are cladded in aftermarket stuff

the Turbo variant has awesome acceleration experience, the power surge is a very good feeling, but that's about it. I have different priorities in life and despite the fact that it tempts me a lot, I don't want to spend extra 3.5 Lakh for that acceleration. Apart from acceleration if you are driving normally the feel is exactly same. When it comes to smoothness, turning, handling and stability: you can't tell the difference. The difference can be felt when you floor it not otherwise. One more thing: the brakes on Oriel feel slightly better when you suddenly remove your foot from the flooring mode and hit them suddenly, probably because the same brake units are responsible for less and more hp+torque. Turbo should have had better brakes

Thanks for the perspective. I agree with it and the lure of turbo creates confusion. Is the brake response in combination with 16" tires better than 9th gen?

Turbo has no lag and the 1.8 lags in comparison to Turbo obviously but its abrupt and a lot faster in feel if you compare it with older Prosmatecs

How about comparison between 10th gen CVT vs 9th gen manual? I am referring to transmission lag. Does the CVT drones on continuously or is there distinctive simulated gear shift feel to it? Pity Atlas didn't give paddle shifters for 1.8NA.

only and only Navigation is worth buying, their glass coat is pathetic and they do it without any preparation. Utility package is insanely expensive and the sunvisors hide chrome strip on top of both doors and let it stay visible on last quarter panel which looks odd. Better sunvisors with oem like chrome strip on top to match with last quarter glass as well are available for 1/4th price. Leather work isn't actually leather. Just 40% which is seat area that comes in body contact is leather while the rest is 6000 wala rexine everywhere else. From the market best premium grade rexine soft and plush than Atlas leather can be done in under 15k including door panels, armrests and consoles

Thanks for that eye-opener about the sun visors. I didn't look into that too deeply while browsing its pics. That is pathetic approach by Atlas to not use sun visors with proper chrome strip. The utility package includes floors mats and trunk trays too. What is its quality compared to available options in market and how much will same parts cost from markets in Lahore/Islamabad?

The ivtec variant I checked at showroom had fabric but its quality is pathetic. It seemed thin and not very well sewed. You got leather work done aftermarket. Were the seats and other leather fittings done on top of existing fabric fittings or were fabric fittings removed?

In case of Turbo and oriel as well, spending extra on 4 years extended warranty is worthy and should be opted...

Isn't the extended warranty more suitable for 1.5T? 1.8NA is an old workhorse and well known for its reliability over past 2 gens.

Is either 3rd year or 4th year warranty warranted for 1.8NA?

1. there is no lag in cvt. The response of throttle is instantaneous, more the transmission is smooth and the car feels lighter. But there is a rubber band effect present as the car won't shift due to nature of CVT. Still its a worthy upgrade over prosmatic.

2. I too have 9th gen and it doesnt cross 11 km/l in city no matter what. It usually stays arround 9 km/l. Yes turbo can go up to 11 km/l realistically.

3. leather quality has not improved, though in my case time will tell. Yes its on top of fabric. Rest @arkhitekt can guide you better in this case.

That is an increasingly common trend with cars unless one opts for Corolla.

Yes, its more suitable for 1.5T...

But in case of oriel too as one of my collegue got his 9 Gen AC blower motor faulty costing Rs. 45000 which he beared on his own pocket and regretting warranty extension....

These cars are trouble free but if got encountered for a petty kind of a thing, thousands usually spent so better be cautious from the start.......

The leatherete seat of turbo civic is pathetic, its hard n uncomfortable. My dad drove one time 8months bak n never sat again in my civic coz of those hard seats...he prefer Vezel seats my younger bro car or my A3 seats which is a lot better than the turbo civic seats. Even my reborn fabric seats were soft and comfy.
If anyone going to get civic oriel plz dont get leather option seats, only get the navigation screen option.

The braking and stability is indeed awesome on 10th with the rim and tyres size. Without a doubt most stable PKDM ever.

The 10th CVT has a better response time in reality than 9th manual, but the feeling of changing gears has its own charm and that jerk of downshifting won't be there in 10th if that's what you are looking for.

The leather work I got done was over and above on top of fabric and has helped made the seats more soft and far softer than oem leather.

Yes the tray is commonly available at major online setups including most of them being local. The guy running 10th Gen Civic parts pakistan has it for 1100

Salik bhai that is exactly why I again and again keep re-iterating to all brothers not to get oem leather on Oriel. But there is some oem leather word fixation in people.

In my opinion and experience there is no harm in removing exactly 11-14 bolts to remove seats from the car for custom poshish and 8 screws of door panels. If done properly by an expert nothing bad happens.

Its not exactly that I have an aftermarket poshish business to promote it. my recommendation is obviously out of pure honest advice and experience.

I was talking about the review done by pakwheels of civic 1.5T In it they said car gives 8km/l in city and 10km/l on highway. A friend of mine pointed that out saying ye new civic to bari bekar hai and i had to explain that thats not true even my 9th gen gives 15.6km/l cruise at 120km/h In the 1.8 civic review they said the new civic is more sluggish than 9th gen to which I would say have u even driven the 9th gen...? Then there was the fast forwarded braking test to which I would say hats off t…
