Yes bro, personally I would prefer sealant. But honestly, sealant is just a fancy name for a wax. Again, here's my take on this:
- My car is just 1.5 years old and already has minor scratches on the rear bumper, caused by other people which was no fault of my own. Doesn't matter if you get the car coated, people will still make it look bad
- If your primary objective is paint protection, then yes ceramic coating through Ceramic Pro is the best solution. But then it's a pain to maintain
- If you're really concerned about looks then best to get it detailed from someone like SAC and paint sealant protected. Factory finish lacks in terms of clear coat overspray and orange peel. Detailing a new car will get rid of these and bring out a super finish. Sealant should not last more than 6 months, so best to get yourself some nice detailing products. During these 6 months, you can use a spray wax to 'top up' the shine and protection in the car, after every wash. After that you can use your own wax, say, two months and if you're really concerned about the finish then maybe clay and polish every 6 months.
The excessive dew here in Karachi, coupled with non-stop 365-day sunshine really kills the paint, especially here in DHA where I live. So you are right to be concerned about protecting your paint.
