My tentative delivery date for civic is 31st December 2018. Will i be at a disadvantage? if papers show 2018. Should i ask the dealership for January Delivery or it does not matter?

Yes it makes difference in selling as in papers it will b 2018 model.

Need Help from the Civic X Forum!

I have the 2018 Honda Civic V-Tec Oriel. I want to get another smart key made since it's with the driver as well. The original Honda Key is for nearly 50K!

Any place I can get a cheaper smart key with remote made in Karachi and any idea for how much? Any help is appreciated!

Hi there folks. I have managed to get the left side mirror stolen on my 2016 Honda Civic. I have been informed that the price for the entire assembly is 16-17,000 rupees, while the price of the mirror alone is around 1400. To me, it looks like I'll only need the mirror (hopefully!), however I'm attaching a pic here of the left side mirror assembly and would really appreciate it if someone could let me know if I'll need the entire assembly or just the mirror. FYI, the adjustment and retracting mechanisms are functioning as the mirror retracts and I can hear the motors when I try adjusting it.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Oh awesome! So I'm not missing any critical clips or anything? Because I asked Honda Classic (I-10 Islamabad) about it and he said if all clips are present, then I'll only need the mirror (1400 rupees) but even if one clip is missing, then I'll have to go for the entire assembly (16,500 rupees) since they do not sell these clips separately.

Today's federal tax duty increased from 10 to 20% on 1800cc and above vehicles, question is does civic or corolla 1.8 fall in this category, I think they should not as officially their engine is 1796cc so they should fall in 1600cc category, anyone have knowledge about it ?

Yes you can get replica made for 5-8 grand.... In karaxhi you can find key maker in every market and its a 10mins job....

They will do their best to give you car even 15 days before 30th Dec....you and family will be overjoyed... thinking mechanism would slow down ...and heaviest thinking...who cares for resale as not going to sell long and long time....this is the point where most of us get defeated and these Car makers get successful. .....end of day when down many years ...this will be 2018 model what so ever. ..causing around 50K to 75K difference in resale...my known person fell in same trap and got 27 Dec delivery of Honda City...and now despite his arguments this is 2012 model.....so best advise don't take that...as they tried to do with me..I told them at time of booking that I would take 2017 manufacturing and even got in writing at back of my booking slip. On 13 Dec a lady called me in overjoyed ...Sir you are lucky ...your Turbo has arrived .....I refused to take...got around dozen calls ....I off the phone and just disappeared...

First of all you must have 2 Keys unless it is not leased as they keep one .....I have acquired 2nd Key for my Turbo as my driver lost one....Key price is not 50K...it is around 28K for Turbo therefore oriel would be cheaper as its Key Fob is different as doesn't have remote engine start button. While selecting the key maker ...make sure that mechanical key part is engraved by computerised machine....which at least in Lahore hardly 1 or 2 have .. take your original key with white tag which has bar code....they will put that code in machine and key will be automatically prepared without human interefernce ...this would be 100% equivalent to original....and will not spoil your car locks....in Lahore they charge around 15K for Turbo key with this machine ....and normal hand engraved charge around 8K to 10K....Oriel rates would be different accordingly.

As for i know 2 keys are given by delearship.and cost arround 25k. Amazing if price is 50k. Well it has imobilzer too in it

is meguiars ultimate was n wax is recommended as it is a carnauba formula?

Honestly...this remedy is not going to help you out....buying in 2018 and registering in 2019.....first of all on invoice you will get it would be explicitly written that it is manufactured in 2018...Secondly on registration book it will written clearly that it is 2018 model and registered in 2019....and you know that buyers are now quite educated ...it would be caught on first instant....my personal advise don't take 2018...it will pinch you quite badly in comming years.... better to learn from own mistakes and best is to learn from others mistakes....rest your choice and I totally respect that....

After 5 years it will not make much difference.. But if u will sell in 2019, u will definitely lose money. If selling in same year, even your date of invoice matters.. cars with september invoice earn more thn car with invoice of July but this is for ppl.who buy to resell on premium

I am facing issues with wifi connection in my 2018 Oriel.. anyone else facing the same issue? It connects to my wifi dongle on the first attemp, when i switch off/on the engine it doesnt show my dongle.

Why would you want to wax weekly ? Just get Meguiars Ultimate Paste wax, and after you are done with polish, wax it and chill for at least 2 to 3 months.
