For me I would ensure that these are as safe as original company rims, size and design come later, I mean safety over looks. Design wise both look good, just ensure these are branded and 200 percent original and not cheap knock off bling, bling

Im going to stick to the original ones........yes tyres would be changed. Still contemplating on whether to change the size or not.

Btw i checked yeaterday on a website. The thailand civicX has a slightly different tyre size. Width is same at 215. Height is different from the one offered here.

I am wondering how well will this engine perform in mountainous areas. With cvt and no paddle shifters like grande, how is it possible to downshift to get some extra power to pull your car over a steep slope. Has anyone taken their ride to moral Isb? How well it did with load on vehicle? Was there any difficulties? We go to northern areas quite frequently and now we are planning for gilgit etc in Feb March.

Bro even My Gli AT 1.3 used to go to Monal quite frequently and that too IN D mode comfortably with 4 people at max , Took My 1.8 Oriel too and It went in D mode without even breaking a sweat!

It all depends on if you are used to driving on hill climbs or not , you have to keep up the momentum , if that makes any sense to you :S

Can someone please fill me in if the rear and the front camera can be changed to something like the one in picture pasted below. I don't like the camera as I cannot see the body parts of the car and only a red line which is incorrect due to the low height of the camera especially the front one which is very deceiving.

2016 Honda Civic Leather Seats review. I know the PKDM leather is a bad quality however I didn't know that most of the seats are leatherette aka vinyl. Thank you but no thank you for the 60K leather which isn't even all of the seats only the centre which accounts for more like 30-40% of the seat. So glad I didn't go for the Leather package.

I think going uphill is not the problem. But the problem is going downhill with no paddle shifters to control engine braking. While on Naran tour, i found paddle shifters an immense help for engine braking minimizing use of car's own brake.

I hope this car pulls itself and sticks to an RPM like the reborn did as I've used the reborn to go to Nathia and all and when braking downhill, the car used to stay on e.g 3000RPM or something and kept on pulling the engine and didn't change gears until I tapped the accelerator a little. Have yet to experience the same with this car or something better in it.

Having said all of the above, paddle shifters are and will be a greater help than the car's computer figuring out if you're going down and starts pulling the engine and doesn't change gears. Issue with this car is, it doesn't have gears since it's a CVT therefore let's see what it does.

L mode is for engine braking.
No need for paddle shifters in this scenario.

1.8 has S and L mode for engine braking so it will be fine going downhill BTW people should start grasping the concept of cvts and then you will know that the fake shifts of grande and turbo don't help much in acceleration and deceleration.

exactly, you foot on throttle is the shifter going uphill, try to maintain speed more and in case one needs to stop, use throttle generously so you don't keep the cvt clutch slipping too much to creep forward. creeping puts more wear and tear.

Thankyou people. This was of great help. I remember our vario brakes failed when we were going downhill from tandiyani.Allah saved us then. Now we have 2 prosmatic and we went to Kalam on them 3 months ago. They did a good job overall but still can't compare it with manual.
