i agree,but remember all cars with cat require hi- octane.....be it JDM or city or civic etc....don't forget to clean your car cat at 50,000kms...

It seems like there are few options in PK. Maybe the combination of octane booster & 90 RON of Total might provide an alternative.

Well with the Hi Octane availability issue, one thing should be expected by its potential owners right now - the resale of Turbo will be very difficult as its demand will be very low as compared to Oriel. This may have a profound impact on resale value and a 2-3 year old Turbo and Oriel may be selling at similar price range. Apart from this issue of non-availability of Hi Octane, a potential purchaser will also always fear that the previous owner ran the car on normal petrol and did not always ran it on hi Octane - so engine quality may be perceived in a bad light. The 5 lac difference in these car's prices right now will be definitely lower whenever someone would want to sell-off their Civic X.

Assalam -o- Alaikum all. I am 2 days away from buying Honda Civic I-VTec Oriel 2016.

So need to ask few to point Qs
1. What accessories, documents I should look forward to get.
2. Since buying it on OWN, is buy seller affidavit necessary or sale invoice/ sale certificate will be enough at the time of registration
3. What services I will get from showroom as its from them I am getting the car ( sort of)..... Initial running checkup? Etc etc
4. What initial / immediate things to do when car is collected e.g oil change, tank full or not? Etc etc

Obviously not. No way I'm suggesting that one shouldn't buy Turbo or Mercs and do not enjoy the blessings. The post is only about the consideration one should expect when he has to sell his car after using it for some years and the level of discount, as compared to Oriel, that he may realize from the price shelved out by them when buying that car. That discount would probably be higher in Turbo as compared to Oriel due to this non-availability issue. Had this issue not there, I wouldn't be saying that.

There are some people who do not care about the resale value. Similarly there are people who care about this and refrain from buying Mercs and other cars whose prices decrease on resale.

Wow MashaAllah looking nice. Are shades allowed in Karachi? Where in Karachi can I buy shades for Civic X? How many shades did you buy? How did you cover the rear glass (where ABS+VSA is written)?

Yes the shade story in karachi is something which isn't specifically illegal as it hasn't been specified anywhere. Window films/tints however are.

You'll find window shades everywhere in Karachi. Any auto shop should have them. Do be wary of the fitting as some of them don't fit properly hence you have to try some others.

For the rear screen, that's also a shade, one large piece of shade.

So I bought 5 shades in total, 4 for the side windows and 1 large one for the rear window which cost me a total of Rs.900/-.

@nab101, yes it is air duct just like all the other air ducts and the temperature of air depends if you have AC/heater on or off. So yes there are 4 air ducts/vents for back seats in civic X.

Salam Dear Fellows,
I couple of days back I booked oriel. Yesterday dealer sms me booking reference number. What I need to ask is that 'is it only the reference number that dealer provides after booking? or any confirmation letter as well?
Also how can I check if the booking number is correct and what Altas Honda says about delivery rather than dealer's commitment.

Anyone here knows of a way to remove the usb etc wires from the glovebox? Its really inconvenient having to put your phone inside if you want to close it or have it wide open all the way if you're using the aux

I was about to ask this but I thought there was a way to keep that wire outside the box. Now that's a real issue. Considering my present rides, glove box is full of xyz documents and God knows what. It's litter box tbh.
