Yes, I agree, many civics were burnt but reason is very simple and can be seen on roads everyday. If you own a civic x, please go and open up its bonnet. Have a look at the wiring connecting headlights. It is very thin and low guage wire which does not allow more than 15Amps. But if you look at civics on the road, horrific kind of HIDs, lights and LEDs etc are attached to headlights, foglights, parking lights, brakelights. The civic is fully CANBUS operated car with measured amperage for all circuits. It does not allow ustadi and fiddling with the electric wiring. But our road side mechanics and even most renowned ones like Shahid Autos, Sehgal motors people just enter the car with a screw driver and connect electric components and accessories to any ACC wire without thinking that what affect it has on the overall car electric loads.
My friend, what happens next is burning car on the middle of a road.
Honda has a specific accessories connection point on fuse box and it does not allow those fancy whopping 200w HID to be hooked with headlights / foglights that easily. Till the time, new cars are not understood by the users, we will keep burning them on roads.
Lastly, God Knows what we want to make out of civic x. I mean it is already a very aesthetically designed car but we as Pakistanis have not left any stone unturned to hook each and every kind of chinese accessory and lights on the already sporty looking car. May God help us. Ameen.
And PLEASE DONT TRY TO COMPARE COROLLA AND CIVIC. BOTH ARE VERY DIFFERENT TECHNOLOGY VEHICLES.
