Hello Pakwheelers, Hope you guys are stay safe at home due to this COVID-19. I came here with a confused mind. As we guys knows, that Honda Civic X launched in 2016 with tons of faults. With due time, they tried to cover them and most of time Honda Atlas failed to do so (Replacing faulty steering racks etc etc.). Few peoples says that Honda Atlas has improved the quality of their later production units. Recently in late 2019, They have launched a well known "FACELIFT" for Civic X including LED headlamps with chrome garnish fog lamps and all that crazy stuff. So, I'm gonna moving to 1800cc car in a month or so as all this current situation gonna be under control. That is why, I wanna to know that how Honda has improved themselves in their later production units of Civic X 2019-20 especially a facelift model. Does anyone of you still faced any known issue in that model or did you really realised that they have actually put some good efforts to improve Civic X. You guys can help me to make my decision for Honda or Toyota.

There are people from early batches who haven't faced any issue.

Number of cases of people having issues in new version is lower but still some issues might arise . This is just random.

Yeah, so far no one gonna trust them 100%. Rare cases still exist. But, the most heart wrenching problem is the steering rack. That's only cost 150k - 200k. However, battery issue could be resolve by replacing to dry batteries and have seen door joints have been so much improved now. Let's see how more people reacts and share their experiences.

Yes rare cases exist but it were not rare in initial and later models before the FL as haven't heard the constant issues that were present reported in it heard people saying they totally changed the part to new(number) . Secondly had two initial x turbo and oriel without a single issue mentioned everywhere one sold in late 19 and turbo still going strong without any reported issue except battery was changed under warranty in 17 to hybrid one. Rare case can still exist as no car is 100% flawless.

As the guys said, there is no concept of 100% flawless car even if it is new...the same goes to Civic X....as per fresh users feedback majority of the faults have already been removed....even then if they exists, they are not the decision makers....so do not leave X for these faults....
Moreover i assume you will go for 0 meter car which will be under warranty for atleast two years...by the time your warranty will be ending, most probably Honda will be in the phase of launching a new design...so they would have already covered all their flaws till that time em sure....

Guys im finding difficult to make a decision to go for Honda civic 1.8 oriel or 1.5 RS Turbo. Can you guys please suggest in terms of practical usage as im more inclined towards 1.5 variant seeing the alloys seat fabric and options offered.

If your pocket allows you, its always been a better option to go for top of the line variant....

Tha question is mainly to see what practical issues might occur in 1.5variant considering Hi octane fuel availability and other special considerations required

No issue . Use regular fuel without any problem.

Turbo doesn't have any issue. People have travelled across Pakistan on Turbo without any problem.

hmm...since i am not the owner of Turbo so cant comment on that except the early change of spark plugs....for oriel other than the manufacturing faults (most of which are now resolved) there are no special considerations.....

I have been keeping it since 03 years and 26k driven. All original, no issue faced Alhamdolilah

Yes brother, You're absolutely right. Every car may have some slightly issues. Nothing could be 100% perfect. And, yes decision gonna be depends on max 3years. Also, I have kept Honda City for more than 5years now and I have been a loyal Honda fan. My heart always says for Honda Civic X. I'm gonna book a 0meter car from Honda dealership so I will be fall in 2years warranty.

Brother, I have made some research on 1.5T before confirming my decision to 1.8Oriel. For me, I usually to travel to Multan, Vehari that side for atleast once in a year. And, fuel conditions are pretty bad in that zone. So, to my point of view it could be harmful. Also, Alloy rims and rear wing looks super cool but black interior might could be feels like an oven in summers.
So, that is why I decided to make some changes in 1.8Oriel to more aggressive. As, I gonna change the front chrome grill to Piano black grill with a trunk wing with a break light on it. Still, it would be hard to find 1.5T alloy rims.

Brother now we have 1.5T oriel as well with beige interior so you can look into that as well but yes for sure low quality fuel is a disaster for 1.5T
